Stride Rite Tonka Truck Light-Up Sneaker (Toddler/Little Kid)

My 5 year old has very wide feet and I can only buy him shoes from a few brands. I ordered these hoping that they would be wide enough (Stride Rite tends to be great) and that my son would like them. He is currently in a Monster Truck phase and found that the tires and headlights on here were 'cool' enough. He has worn them everyday for over a week now! They fit great, the little headlights are cute, and they are easy enough for my son to get on and off by himself. If you need a wide shoe - or just a truck design in general - these are perfect!

My 4 year old is thrilled to death with these shoes. I didn't even realize that they have headlights that light up when I ordered them. They are surprisingly bright. My husband complains that they are going to give him a seizure, but I'm pretty sure they won't :) Fit seems true to size. If these wear out or fall apart quickly, I will update this review, but Stride Rite has a good reputation so I am hoping these will stand up to the abuse that my athletic son will undoubtedly give them.

My son has many light up shoes (mostly because I'm living vicariously through my kid, please to judge me).These are hand-down his favorite. First, the lights are LED so they are really bright. Second, the truck style really thrills him. Last, he like the color (although he's never expressed any interest in yellow before, I think he just associates yellow with construction trucks).Oh, he also gets angry when we try to take them off and asks for his shoes when he goes to bed. These are a winner.

With ordering online- We were worried about our 2yr old not liking these shoes if they were heavier than his Nike's but he loved them! We also got many compliments about the headlights on the shoes. However, I have to give them 2stars because after 2 weeks of him wearing them a headlight on each shoe stopped working! I'd hoped the lights would work longer than that! Most light up shoes that I have gotten my 4 yr old even continued to work after going thru the washing machine. So, I'm disappointed and when the lights completely stop working, I know he will be too! He loves stomping his feet in a low lit room to see the lights.

My son loved these from the time that I took them out of the box. I have had to wash them in the washer and the lights still work and of course my son has played in the water in them and the lights still work. Will probably have to buy the next size up when he grows out of these.

My son loved these shoes so much I bought them in three sizes. One of the lights went out in the first pair after about a month. I assumed they had gotten wet so we were more careful from then on. After another six weeks or so the other lights started to fail as well. Still thought it was my son being hard on footwear. He outgrew that pair and started wearing the next size up and after one week (without getting them wet) one of the lights started fading. Very disappointing but my son still loves them!

My son loves these shoes, but after a few weeks of wear, one light went out. Now, after 2 months of wear, all 4 lights are out. He hasn't been stomping through mud or wading in water either.... Just normal wear at preschool. Still very cute shoes but a little disappointing.

My son loves strite rite and always come back to this brand after trying other brands.
