Poor Charlie's Almanack Hardcover

I was always going to buy this book as Mr Charles Munger is a walking encyclopedia of Knowledge, Wisdom and a mentor on how to live a good life.When buying books I look for successful smart people from whom I may learn and thus hopefully become a better person.This book so far is full of wisdom that anyone would benefit and for me it is a privilege to read.

This book is both monsterous and a complete pleasure to read. It's as thick as a doorstep and coffee table sized. Housed inside you'll find anything and everything you want or need to know about Charlie Munger and his approach to life and investment. It's not a quick read but each time you pick it up you'll find some sort of gem you can apply to your own situation. At first glance it looks like an expensive purchase but the hours of insight and pure pleasure you'll get from this makes it one of my best value purchases this year.

This has to be the greatest book I have ever read. The wisdom and how you can potentially apply some of these concepts to real life scenarios is simply outstanding. The book is not cheap but worth every penny.Simply superb 10/10. Charlie thank you for all the wisdom!

Arrived on time and in excellent condition - was a brand new copy.The book covers all of the lectures and speeches given by Charlie Munger over his storied career. There is a wealth of content that covers investing, history, psychology, science and much more.I would encourage everyone to read Poor Charlie’s Almanack as they would learn and gain so much from a man with a vast experience of wealth and intellect.

Most of the battle when you invest is not sabotaging yourself or letting other people or market information scare you. Charlie's advice equips investors with the psychological skills to required to keep investing simple and easy. It's a wealth of advice from someone whose investing philosophy has always been similar to buffett's, but he's not afraid to be blunt about it. He calls his method "sit on your ass investing", and I think that's quite a good name. He is frank, witty, at times crass, and it's a really good read.

If you are a Berkshire Fan, you know this book and you know Charlie, I really enjoyed the honesty in this book as well as the family photos.

There was nothing to dislike about this overall experience and the book was as new.

Is this kindle edition a genuine copy? There are large parts of the book where the text, grammar and punctuation make no sense or are completely missing altogether. Seems to have been translated (badly) or something. I'm also not sure why there are two versions of the same edition, one being almost twice as long. Seems a shame as the content is very good. Will re-review when resolved.
