How Tiger Got His Stripes: A Folktale from Vietnam (Story Cove) Paperback – Illustrated, January 30, 2006

Great folk story from Vietnam about a tiger searching for wisdom and getting out-witted by "man." The moral of the story is good for the age recommendations (4-8) and it was an easy book to follow for my preschooler who loves to read! The graphics were one of the better ones in the Story Cove series too. Its nice to see folktales from other parts of the world available.

Didn't look thought it was a CD or DVD but love it as a story read it to my Vietnamese wife who enjoyed but does not recall it from her childhood.Tony Green

Used for a summer camp and the children loved it.

I bought this book to use to introduce folktales around the world at school with elementary students.

The kids love this clever tale

I thought the book was very good. My grand son loves the book. We use this also for a book report.

We bought this for our 3rd adoption day for our daughter who was born in Vietnam. She loves the fact that it is a traditional vietnamse tale and gives her a taste of her birth country culture. She is now almost six and loves reading it herself now.
