IMACASA 12" Machete, Comfortable Wooden Handle, Full Tang - Optimal Balance and Force, Canvas Sheath Included, 1075 High Carbon Steel Blade

I used this 18" IMACASA machete to clear out an overgrown patch of mostly weeds, some of which were small maples that had sprung up. The machete itself arrived sharpened and in good condition.I have to say that I was not careful at all with this and even used it to hack at roots that were in the soil which contained various sized rocks and pebbles. I managed to nick the edge of the blade - not so much chip it as to blunt the edge through. This was due to my abuse of the tool and I was able to re-sharpen it in short order.The blade of this machete is thin enough that it doesn't weigh a lot and because of this it's not the type of tool to use on heavy branches but is perfect for clearing undergrowth. If you need to hack through tree branches thicker than your thumb there are better choices.This is a perfect lightweight machete that you can swing all day without fatigue.

Good weight and handle. I wish the sheath was made sturdier. I'm just used to leather sheaths but that would hike the price of the machete. I recommend this machete.

Wish the blade was a little thicker.Other than that reasonable quality.I needed something that was 24 in and it is.

Good quality, very sharp

Very disappointed with the quality and workmanship. Blade is much too thin for most practical applications and it came with finishing gouges and nicks in the blade edge. Handle looks like something carved out of balsa wood. On the plus side it is very lightweight but I would not trust my life to it outside of chopping dandelions in the yard. Over priced by five fold!
