The mice like it.
Placed the tubes in an outbuilding. The mice have taken the cotton for their nests. I assume the mice like it but the ticks don’t.

So far, so good!
This is the second year that I have used these, and I have not seen one tick on my dog. I would say these are a very good product!

Major reduction in ticks, hopefully due to these tubes?
Our yard was overrun with ticks. As in, my kids were forbidden to walk on the grass. A short walk from one end of the yard to the other and you'd have no less than 7 or 8 ticks. I refuse to choose between living with toxic chemicals living in my lawn or the ticks, but I was getting pretty desperate. Thankfully I found these tubes which (I think) are working. We have just over an acre in a rural setting with woods lining one side of our property. At the end of the summer I purchased the 24 pack and placed them throughout our property, along the woods, mostly areas that looked like a critter would hang out. This spring I have noticed a SIGNIFICANT reduction in ticks, as in we've only had two ticks so far, and I've actually been allowing my kids to play in the grass. I honestly didn't think they would work, especially since not all of the cotton was taken from all of the tubes, but these are the only difference between this year and last year. I just purchased another box of 24 and set them out today. I say it's worth a try!!

It works!
We put these out at the edges of our yard in early Spring and it's had a major impact on ticks in our yard. Not only have we noticed fewer ticks when walking around, but we used to actually see ticks clinging on our basement door just waiting to jump on us when we opened the door... gone! Surprisingly effective.

Helps
The product does help with the tick population, but you are at the mercy of another animal, such as mice, to make a nest out of it. If they dont go to the tubes, the product does nothing.

This WORKS
I was super hesitant buying this product, but it works and it’s a much less toxic option for your pets and kids. Not one tick on sight this summer so far, and my dogs were full of them last summer.

Used these for years they are AWRSOME!
I’ve used these in my yard for years. You’ll see an amazing difference once you place these in the yard. With three dogs there have been very few ticks if any.

Time will tell
It's going to be hard to judge the overall affecteness of this product as it may take time to see if this works. I have seen ticks in my yard before and I am using this in conjunction with periodic yard spray. I placed these around my yard in areas where mice would be found , with the assumption the mice will take the treated cotton in the tube and use it to make a nest. The treated cotton will then transfer to the mice and then kill ticks on them. I'm not 100% sold this will be effective for protecting my yard and family as I imagine ticks that are already on mice wouldn't necessarily fall off anyway if there feeding on the mice. Either way this was very simple to apply, just lay the tubes in certain areas in your yard and that's it. I look at this as another layer of protection and not a one stop solution.
