4GB Upgrade for a Lenovo ThinkPad T410 Series System (DDR3 PC3-12800, Non-ECC, )

Be Careful! The specific Lenovo T410 I bought this for comes with 4GB RAM...unfortunately in TWO modules: one accessed from the bottom...and one only accessible if you remove the keyboard. After searching tirelessly on the web for instructions regarding upgrading the memory on this particular model, only AFTER I purchased this 4GB module did I discover that this laptop had 2- 2GB modules! Great engineering, Lenovo! So, to keep it simple, I replaced the 2GB module that was easily accessible, with the new 4GB module, booted and tested the unit: success! 6GB total memory now, which, for the purposes this 4 year old Lenovo model is used for, is sufficient.

I ordered my T410 CTO (custom order) with a singe 4MB in the case I ever wanted to move up to 8MB. This upgrade was a simple single screw removal and clicking in the new stick. Next boot the bios updated to accommodate the additional 4MB. Upgraded the HD to a 1TB replacement recently as well. Between the two I have extended the useful life of the laptop.

Installed quickly and works just fine. I have used Crucial memory in several computers and have had no problems so far.

Timely delivery and the product worked in my ThinkPad T410. No problem detected to-date.
