Organic Sun Dried Maftoul Couscous (9 ounce)

THIS is the real deal! the Palestinian womens' cooperative handmade, sun dried (maftoul) couscous. Misnomeredin the US as "israeli" couscous. Not. Fair Trade product, delicious and wholesome. Giving credit where it is longoverdue. Traditional couscous which is north African semolina product is smaller; Maftoul, is traditionally handmadePalestinian product is a tiny pasta like cooking product. THIS is the best one available!

For thirteen dollars, I received one and a half cups of the product. I could have gotten the same amount for 1/8th of the price, if I had a close by Arabic store. Additionally, the couscous was old-tasting. Not worth the money and will never order again.

This is my favourite couscous. I used to use the tiny French-style couscous (which still has its uses), but this stuff is hands-down the best-tasting and -textured one that I have come across. I also appreciate that this is organic and supports small-scale producers in Palestine.
