Grand Cuisine Electric Pepper/Salt Mill, Stainless Steel

Was a bit disappointed when first operating it. We have had an electric grinder before and it worked fine. This one was a bit more complicated to get the batteries to fit in right and get the top on but once we got it "figured out" it's been okay. Probably wouldn't order another one.

The light was cool, and they seem to do a good job, for just a few months of regular use. I purchased 4 of these, the ones I use for salt are still going great...but the ones for pepper have both worn out. I bought 2 of them as a gift, so I'm not sure what type of peppercorns they used, but I used the ones from Spicy World. For now, I switched the salt to the pepper grinder and vise versa...and the one that was "skipping" with pepper is working fine with salt. I'll just run it this way until the former salt one wears out, then toss them.

Update: one mill is still going strong but the other quit after only a year.Works well as both a salt or pepper mill; however, it seems to work better with pepper. As a salt mill, it dumps salt out after you've released the button so you end up with a mound of wasted salt on the table. We've learned to either shake it or tap it over our plates before setting it down. Otherwise, it is very easy to use and simple to refill. It just doesn't hold a lot.

Picture is of 2 in a box. I only received one and it is way overpriced for just one. Be advised! Does a ok job of grinding salt but pepper is a chore. Keep good AA batteries (4) on hand for it.

I bought two of these, one for salt and one for pepper. Both work great but do leave salt and peper on the counter or where ever you set them down at after using them. (that is to be expected those as the mill is on the bottom of the grinder and not the top.) I do not feel the light is that beneficial. Would buy again.

This grinder came in on time but it only came with one. The photo was very deceiving and the description was very vague. It doesn't look very fancy either; in fact, it looks like I could have gotten it from the Dollar Store. However, my mom loves it and is refilling pepper every time I come over.

Great looking pepper grinder. Too bad it only worked on 2 occasions. First, when we opened it. Used the first day. Then last week, had people over...doesn't grind pepper. Tried new batteries, to no avail. Will buy a different brand, tossed this one away. Suppose we should have tried to return it.

The peppermill works very well. The grinding mechanism could be better in choosing the size of the grind. It grinds quickly and holds quite a bit of peppercorns.
