Works for Runners
A lot of these reviews are from people who mainly walk or only jog a little, based on what I've seen. I was left wondering if this thing would really hold up for a runner. I'm a sub 3:30 marathoner, currently averaging about 55 mpw. This thing is great. I regularly go for 90 minute runs and the "low" setting is easily enough to light my way, even on streets with no lighting at all. Keeping it on "low," I'd say I only have to charge once every two weeks. I haven't worn it in a complete downpour, but it hasn't skipped a beat in sustained light rain across several exposures. I highly recommend this product.

Great light for walking/running
Just got this light about a week ago and so far I really like it. I'm 6'4'' 225lbs with a 48" chest, and I've been wearing it over a heavy sweatshirt and the bands are not being stretched out.. The manufacturer changed the light, so it does pivot now. There are distinct positions the light pivots into and will not move unless you change the position. The position I use is at about a 45 degree angle and the path is well lit with most of the illumination about 6-10 feet in front of me. The unit is lightweight, comfortable and you won't even realize you have it on. It came fully charged , and after 4 hours of use, 4 of the 5 battery strength bars are still lit. We'll have to see how the unit holds up over time, but as of now definitely worth the money. UPDATE-- The day after submitting this the unit went from 4 bars to 0 bars on a 1 hour run. The light went off and each time the on/off button was pushed the light would stay lit for about 10 seconds. It's probably wise to charge the unit after a couple hours of use at the most.

Not for trail running
I'll start by saying I got this for trail running and this review is assuming that as the purpose of the light. If you are considering this for walking hiking, or road/park running, it's probably fine. There are two problems with this light that make it unusueable for me.I tested this light on a hilly 4mi trail run.1. Side-to-side bounce.Because the light is fixed to your chest, it will angle side to side as you run because that's what your body does. I found this to be problematic as the light would not stay focused on the trail, causing me to miss rocks or small drainages from time to time.2. Lack of aimingThis is similar to 1, but bcause you can't aim the beam like you would a headlamp or flashlight, corners become very problematic as they're almost entirely blind. There is some overflow, but the main light is so bright that you can't make out anything else. Additionally, getting the beam in the right place in front of you requires active adjustments. The light does have a few detents that allow you to aim the light at your feet slightly ahead, way ahead, or straight ahead, but when running on hills, you need to constantly adjust it up or down to illuminate the ground appropriately. There are a few things the light gets right. It is nice and bright and very comfortable. And the entire reason I got it is because headlamps blow out shadows so you have no depth perception on the trail. This light is great for seeing the ankle breakers, but for the reasons listed above, it doesn't work in practice.

Great charge, good for being seen
Great and easy to recharge. The light is bright, 3 settings. The flash isn't independent from front to back so if you want a flashing back you'll have to deal with flashing in the front as well. High beam is bright, low is decent.Feels good to wear, no slipping or sliding around.Using a headlamp may be preferable because it goes where you look, but not having to deal with something on your head is really nice. We'll have to see how it holds up in the rain. The pivot is OK. Lights on the back indicate how much power is left.If I could change anything I'd have an option to turn the front or back light off. I have used this pretty much daily for 2 weeks now.

Good for dark easier runs but front facing light leaves brightness levels to be desired
These lights are a decent option for dark runs! They’re lightweight, comfortable to wear, and the red back light is a nice safety feature. The adjustable straps keep everything in place, even on longer runs. My only complaint is that the front-facing light isn’t as bright as I expected—good enough for sidewalks and well-lit areas, but not ideal for pitch-black trails. Still, they get the job done, and the rechargeable battery lasts a long time. Solid product, just wish the front light packed a bit more punch!

Excellent product
These lights are great! I’ve been using them for several years and they work very well for nighttime runs and walks. It helps so drivers know I am out on the road.

Worth it!
I often walk my pup at dusk and dawn. This item produces much light while on and walking. 3 light settings, bright, blinking, and soft with a red triangular caution light in the back.. I feel much better walking in more light and Pup likes it too. The light can be rolled around in short proximity to see more forward and side views. I am a women and the chest light is a bit big, but still a winner. The straps are adjustable.
