The Girls in the Garden: A Novel

Boring. Skip it.
Read one of this author's other books , Before I Met You, and enjoyed it. So I ordered 2 more. This book was hard to finish. I forced myself to read it. Very slow. Sorry I bought it. Hope the next one is better.

Tedious, lousy ending
I stayed with it because I bought it (fortunately only paid 1.99) but I found it very dull and the ending was utterly absurd. This is the first book by this author I’ve read and it will be the last, I’m afraid.

Teenage angst set in idyllic garden
Story kept one guessing until nearly the end. The relationships between regulars and incomers very realistic. Several red herrings strewn along the way. Did find the meeting at the end of the book too glib. After all that had happened did expect life for the two mothers to be that straightforward

Great read!
What a build up, I could feel the heat of the summer building up as the summer was getting hotter and hotter. If you have children younger than 13 don't read it or maybe you should. I am off to buy the next book, second onI have read of Lisa jewell's books, and both so completely different and both so good!

Great authour
Stories tend to be family related and relatable or at least plausible. Tend to be page turners or at least for me.
