Moultrie Feeder Activator | Remote Control | Compatible with 6 or 12-Volt Feeders

This is the 2nd one I have purchased in 2 years. The first one lasted one summer season and only worked two days the 2nd. Seems to be the remote but was as cheap just to get a whole new setup. Could not find a new remote cheaper.

I’ve purchased 3 of these remote activators. The first two were good, but seemed like I had to press the button several times before it would activate the motor. Those first two had the extendable antenna. One quit working when a feral hog knocked over the feeder and broke the motor. And of course it rained, ruining the electric components.The last one I purchased did not have the extendable antenna, so I was skeptical that it would work from my 120 yard perch and the 18mph wind in my face. But it did great! I only pressed the button once and the motor kicked in as it should for 5 sec. I tried it several times and each time it worked as it should. I’ve only had the last one for a week, if anything happens I‘ll update it here.

Using for a truck hitch feeder. Wish the timer was adjustable. Hit the button and it runs for five seconds.

I see many negative reviews, but I suspect it’s a wiring issue.First, I hooked it up the way the wires are labeled, which is one red and one black to the battery. Second, one red and one black to the motor. However, this won’t work!Below are the steps of how I wired it to get it to work:Step 1. Both red wires to the positive/+ battery post.Step 2. The black wire labeled “Negative Battery Post Only” to the negative/- battery post.Step 3. The black wire labeled “Splice into Motor Negative Wire via Connector” goes to the motor black negative/- wire.Step 4. Add a red jumper wire (not included) from the motors red positive/+ wire back to the battery positive/+ post.It should now work!Note - When wired as above the red light on the controller stops blinking, indicating proper wiring.Press the remote and it should work. If you got more than one feeder activator like I did, one remote from either one will run both feeder activators.

This was an easy install and works for my Pro Hunter II Feeder Kit in my backyard. I only feed for 6 seconds at 6 pm every day. Now when I have the "herd" show up and hang around a long time I can give them extra feeding.I followed the instructions except I soldered and heat shrunk the wires together, I did use the alligator clips to connect to the Moultrie battery post. No fuss just works.

Had no issues installing, works like a charm, stand inside home now and feed deer anytime from 30 yards away using remote. Works great every time i need to feed, recommend!

The media could not be loaded.  I’ve had 2 of these for a few months now and each one malfunctions dropping all the food on the ground about 1-2 times a month. Sometimes on the timer sometimes on the remote.It does really add to the feeder having the buttons, I can now go down and feed the fish and deer on my schedule. I have a remote on my quad and one in the window and it works very far away.I should only have to fill this up once every 45 days or so but 1-2 times a month each one just dumps an entire feeder. The one in the video does fish pellets and the other one does deer corn attached to a 55 gallon from, feed seems to make no difference.I’m not sure if the remote install was the cause of the problem or if it is the feeder itself. I thought it was a pretty clean install as I soldered and heat shrinked every wire together.

This device is truly amazing. Very easy to use!
