Art of Final Fantasy IX Paperback – January 1, 2000

I bought this book as a birthday present for a good friend of mine, and he was quite touched. The book was pre-owned but in excellent condition. I have heard no complaints, and my friend continues to enjoy it. Thank you.

-Overall, its a nice art book, but people not familiar with the game won't be as appreciative of it; however, the fans will be the greatest critics. From a fanatic's outlook, I would say the book doesn't let the game down.-The character section is full of great detailed designs that show their progression. This whimsical section of the book is just plain fun to look to at. Of course, the notes are in Japanese (luckily I can read elementary Japanese), so with that being said, a few people may be upset that the book overs no translation. A few characters are missing from this section but nothing major. A few pictures on the characters' trances might have been nice, though.-The world section is probably the most interesting in the book and contains plenty of articulate architectural and landscape sketches (some of which weren't even used in the game). The airship section is nice and probably more detailed than one would think as is the equipment section (I wasn't expecting that).-The CG pictures are a nice inclusion, but come on, I've played the game, so a nice storyboard area in the book would have been cool (assuming there was some).Yoshitaka Amano's area in the book is by the far the most stunning, but I am familiar with a few FINAL FANTASY IX concept drawings that were left out of the book (Necron, Queen Brahne).-Now, I wouldn't spend a fortune on this book, but if you are a fan (as much as I am) and can find the book for a decent price... I say go for it. You won't be disappointed.

I just needed it for an autograph session I was going to and it's a great product. It's classic and affordable. People were wondering where I got the book. Thank you for selling it!

I'm a big collector of art books and thought this would be a nice addition to my collection. I love the art and style from FFIX and I'm honestly a little upset we never got to see more of it after this game. I curse Tetsuya Nomura sometimes, I really do.Besides that, the book comes with some nice character sketches, and some more in depth drawings of the world of FFIX.To be honest, I was expecting a little more concept art to come out of this book eh! I'm not going to complain too much. I think you could probably find most of the art shown in here online if you actually looked for it. Either way, it's good for referencing if you ever want to draw the characters, airships, landscapes, etc...It's been awhile since I actually ordered this and had it delivered but I don't remember having any complaints about the shipping time and the actual products quality. Everything was in good condition!Nonetheless, good purchase for a cheap price! Glad I bought it. I'm sure I'll be looking at this through years to come.

After seeing all the detail put into this game to make the greatest fantasy story on earth (maybe superearth too) I declare it do justice upon itself and do an hd remake and I swear I will buy it 1000000 times. Just the thought gives me butterflies... best game ever.

Okay, I am a HUGE fan of Final Fantasy IX. It was the first final fantasy game that I ever played and has a very fond place in my heart. I am also a huge collector of art books...and I'll be honest, this one was extremely disappointing. The best picture of Garnet is the one on the front cover, and that's saying something. The characters just do NOT get enough pages in here. If you really like the scenery of Final Fantasy IX, then this book is more for you - but I was hoping to see more on the characters themselves. I've never regretted buying an art book before until now. I just feel that such a great game deserved an even greater and more detailed artbook.

A must-have for FFIX fans. Lots of great artwork from the game. I love the cover.

A ripensarci bene il mio primo videogioco ps1 comprato dal mio papà ❤️Già vedere la sigra squaresoft ora chiamata squerenix è un salto nella storia.All'interno troviamo un completo studio dei personaggi, altezze, ambienti, personaggi di sfondo, secondari, oggetti, mostri e armi, video, bozzetti e per finire anche una piccola gallery di Amano anche se personalmente il suo stile si separa molto da quello che per sé è lo stile dolce del videogioco finale.L'immagine invece di copertina di Hideo Minaba, invece si avvicina tantissimo e il suo schizzo di Daga l'adoro troppo ❤️Per tutti gli appassionati è qualcosa da avere assolutamente.Una cosa che mi appassiona e lo studio che c'è dietro ad ogni storia final fantasy, dal 9 fino al xv.

This is a beautiful companion piece to one of my favourite video games, as well as one of my most treasured experiences of all time!

Lo compré de 2º mano a un vendedor externo a Amazon por unos 16 €, la verdad que super contenta con lo que he recibido porque, a pesar de que se nota que está usado, el estado está muy bien, ninguna de las hojas está arrugada ni manchada, y el libro es bastante gordito y a todo color, las ilustraciones muy chulas. Por lo que me costó la verdad que lo considero un chollo porque este libro es raro de encontrar. FFIX es mi FF favorito así que estoy muy contenta con este libro de ilustraciones.
