This is a beautifully presented collection of art by John Lennon. It's a deluxe publication, with a RRP of £30. If you're a fan of Lennon, and you're fascinated by his line drawings (as offered in such books as, for example, "In His Own Write" and "Skywriting By Word Of Mouth"), then this is an excellent item. It's some 250 pages of art, as well as some commentary (and hand-written song lyrics) that guides the reader as to when the drawings were completed.While Lennon was first and foremost a singer-songwriter, and secondly a campaigner for peace, he was clearly a person of multiple talents. He took up art early in life, and studied the subject at college; yet his style is unconventional and raw. There is much to be enjoyed here. However, I'm aware that this collection is incomplete (as I've seen art by Lennon that's not included in this publication - especially some of his more raunchy drawings).If you're not a Lennon fan, then I suggest you don't buy this book. If you are a fan, and you're familiar with Lennon's style of art and are interested in seeing more, then I highly recommend this publication.
