Very Earthy Flavor, Beautiful Color
Butterfly Pea Tea has a very (read VERY) earthy flavor. I would describe it as a stronger earthiness than green tea but many people compare it to green tea. Flavor wise, I don't really care much for this tea it doesn't ave any floral notes which is more my preference. The best part about this tea however is the color properties. Butterfly Pea Tea becomes a glorious blue color that can range from pale blue to almost navy depending on how long you steep it for. As beautiful as this is on it's own it's even more amazing when you add an acid such as lemon or lime juice to the tea. When this is done it changes the pH and begins to change color to a purple. Drinking it with lemon and honey is generally the traditional way to consume it and I find with enough lemon and honey it becomes palatable to me as a hot tea. I've never tried it as a cold tea (it can be cold steeped for amazing blue color overnight or hot steeped in 3-5 minutes) but it is apparently a common summertime drink akin to lemonade in the US. In fact there are lemonade drinks that you can make with cold or frozen (yes, it retains it's lovely blue and color changing properties when frozen) Butterfly Pea Tea. You can use it in place of water for a natural food coloring in many recipes as well.As far as this specific seller/brand the tea looks top notch but of course it's impossible to determine if it is actually organic. It comes only packaged in plastic bag with no real labeling or certifications or anything. If you want that guarantee you will need to buy a different brand. I'm not particularly happy with the packaging as I would prefer to be able to reseal the bag even if it's just a simple fold over adhesive flap but the bag had to be torn at least a little at the seams to open it and doesn't leave much extra even if you wanted to fold it over and tape it yourself. You will probably need to have a in or other container ready to pour it into for storage. However, these issues are minimal when compared with the price of other Butterfly Pea Teas. Most cost 2x as much or are a much smaller quantity. You are getting 100 Grams which is a lot of pots of tea, by the way! You only need maybe a small teaspoonful to make a full pot of tea so this will last quite a while.

Helps for broken teeth, sore teeth / tooth problems!
This took so long to arrive, but when it did, it was more than worth it! The package the tea was in was sealed super tightly, so I almost had to get scissors to open it. I could see through the package and saw the beautiful blue flowers and green stems, just like they look in the picture! They are so fresh and perfect! I personally love spinach and agree this tastes like spinach! The real benefit is for your teeth! Lately I have had chronic tooth pain, especially over mayo or cold beverages! Some of my teeth have broken! Yet, as soon as I tried this, my teeth stopped hurting and mayonnaise was reversed completely! I just love it! I put a few of them in a cup and let the hot tea water pour over them! I got blue water since it was spring water. Adding lemon turns the water purple! I also mix them with coffee, since coffee is bad for teeth also! I would recommend making a toothpaste or mouthwash with these if you don't like the flavor, but I do! 😃😄😀😆😊💫. Worth the money! Worth the wait! Love, Jessica Bennett

Literally no regrets. Will be ordering again.
Better then I expected. It came is a timely manner and as far as I can tell is really good quality especially for the price. The bag came super compact and vacuumed seal so there was a higher volume in there then I was expecting. Specially once I tried different brewing methods. My recommendation is 3 flowers per 8 oz of water. Steep for 5 mintues if you like it mild 7-8 mintues is you like it strong for hot or if you are planning to make it as iced tea. The 8oz hot water steeped for 7 mintues with a 1 cup amount of iced was perfect and it was a deep navy color. Also if you are feeling adventurous, I took the petals of the flowers and ground them into a powder to try and make diy blue matcha latte. It worked great with almond milk and a little vanilla in a sauce pan on the stovetop. 5 mintues on medium low heat (dont let it boil, the milk will burn), and then strained it. It was like a 10/10. However, if you have never had and do not enjoy floral teas beware this is a very floral tea tasting floral tea and you may not enjoy the taste.

Vibrant colors, bland flavor, fun tea addition.
These flowers are so versatile. I blended the buds with sugar for meringue and ended up with a beautiful sea-foam green color. Also made a deep purple simple syrup. The tea itself isn't very flavorful. Earthy and bland and not at all floral. They smell like raisins which is pleasant but odd. Takes 8-12 buds to get any kind of color whatsoever. I'd consider these an additive to white tea rather than a standalone tea blossom. Very interesting item and worth a try!I also used it to stain some raw poplar wood for an art project (below) and it is brilliant blue. Very nice! Would be a perfect food-safe egg dye for Easter, too.

So much fun to use!
Product arrived ahead of schedule. There is a great heart love space and calming affect just looking at the plain tea which brings joy to my being.I am looking forward to experiencing the many health benefits as well. I have shared with people at work and they ate the flowers dry from the bag and loved it.I served it at a potluck with lemon wedges and it was the hit of the party going from dark blue to purple.I used very few flowers and presented the turquoise tea but it had no flavor and I did not sweeten it.I mixed it with Green Jasmine tea and it was tasty but the color unimpressive when mixed with brown.I'm doing my best to use it as a dye and not very successful using it for cashew cheesecake or agar jelly cakes as of yet. They were more lavender than turquoise or indigo. I thought it was because of the lemon juice in the cheesecake. I have used it as colored water, dropped the flowers into coconut milk and coconut water by itself, and used the flowers when making the agar jelly and straining it with a nylon strainer and it still didn’t come out blue even though I only used 5 flowers for 2 cups of liquid. Are these the wrong pH?Perhaps those need to be done with powdered flowers instead of whole. Will buy some powdered also. Will buy from this seller again.

Blue to Purple
Awesome tea! I bought it for doing science with kids - turning lemonade blue then purple. Great product and great price. I will definitely order from seller again. As a reference for the 100 g, it filled approximately 2 spaghetti sized jars.

Butterfly Pea is great
Well packaged, clean leaves and flowers, made a cup of tea and it was this beautiful color of cobalt blue, added the lemon and yes it changed to purple. Excited to try using it for special desserts, and for glass noodle dishes. Don't over boil your hot water as you don't want to burn the leaves and flowers. About 85degrees it all you need. I will definitely buy again was worth the wait!
