Schrade SCH707 7.28in High Carbon Stainless Steel Folding Knife with 3.15in Tanto Point Blade and Aluminum Handle for Outdoor Survival, Camping and EDC

Noticed speckled rust spots on it today, high humidity here, guess I'll have to keep the blade oiled, which reduces it's usefulness quite a bit.

Edit: 8/2/22 Must see custom pics!I really didn't like the rubber scales on this knife and it was the only thing that drove me crazy about it. So I just remedied it last night. I removed the rubber using only my hands and then a small screwdriver to scrape the residual glue down to the hard ABS plastic . Replaced with traction grips. It's grip tape used for handgun grips. I also bent the pocket clip up slightly to make it easier to use. Reassembled and now a thinner, balanced purchase. If you have the time and patience to design this like I did you will be more than satisfied with your results.Original review:I really like the way this knife feels in hand, opens on ball bearings ( though not mentioned) , aluminum back spacer , jimping created by the steel liners, just behind where blade begins, nice strong, secure pocket clip. Liner lock engages 75% , It shaved hair out of the box, even at the angled tanto end. It has soft rubber scales. That I don't care for much. But, for the cash a ridiculous thumbs up.

My first impression when I opened the package and put it in my hand, I liked how well the handle feels and how light it is. It has no weight to it. I snapped it open using the thumb studs and my reaction is WOW. I own about 10 knives that deploys only that way and this by far is the easiest which is shocking to me that this is the first I came across this design. I thought maybe the knife would wobbling a little because it would be loose but that is not at all the case. Schrade needs to use this more.The use of the rest of the knife has it's quirks but to me it's negligible for me. I like serrations where my thumb and index finger would be. There is no index finger serrations and the thumb is slightly lower than the rubber handle but after using it constantly for a week, I don't miss those serrations at all. I may have a little less control but the rubber grip and personally feels better for what I use it for. Isharped it just once so far but really didn't need it, I just wanted to see how difficult it would be to do so which wasn't bad at all.Kudos Schrade this is a good one.

The media could not be loaded.  Bought one of these at Duluth Trade Co on clearance and ordered 2 more. They were selling there for $30. They were half price. I use knives to break down boxes on our food truck and what a great little blade. Razor sharp, rubber grip, one hand operation to open and close but be careful! It's so sharp you can easily nick your knuckle on closing! Rock solid blade when open. No wiggle or movement from the blade at all. Glass breaker pummel is cool too.
