Ambry Rope Sling Bag, Backpack for Women – Canvas Crossbody Shoulder Sling for Travel, Commuting and Hiking

Bought this and the Kavu rope bag at the same time. Wasn't sure what to expect but loved the feel of this one far more. This bag also had twice the padding on the back as the Kavu bag and larger front pockets. Both front pockets can fit my iphone 6s plus. Only the Bottom one could fit my phone on the kavu. I decided to keep this one and sent the Kavu back. Very happy with my choice.

UPDATE: I've owned this bag and have used it as my purse everyday for 2 years, (I'm extremely rough on bags) and it is still holding up perfectly, the velcro closure on the front is the only part that is damaged which was due to our puppy chewing it to eat my chapstick 2 months ago.. seriously has lasted 2 years!! Only reason I'm buying a new one is that I want a new color and a little tired of the arrow design 😂.This bag is really great, I bought it because I wanted a name brand (the atom) but just couldn't see spending $90 on a bag... opted for this one, and am very pleased, the corded straps are actually stretchy which seriously makes this bag even more comfortable then it already is... I'm plus size according to most charts and it fits well, I can even adjust the slack. Which normally bags like this won't fit my chest they are normally so small... I can wear this one comfortably even with my puffer coat on.Now I did have hesitation about the crinkle sound of the liner, but after I put all my things in it straightened out, I'm guessing it's just from being packaged.Another note, this particular style (one with arrow pattern) is made of a really nice canvas. It's sturdy!I will definitely look into buying more from the Ambry brand!

I love this bag style! I have had a Kavu rope sling bag for 2 years and I love it too, but this one is bigger and has better bigger pockets than my Kavu. I also love the strap because it is made of a braided elastic not stiff rope, so it is easier to get on and off without having to unclip it. The main compartments are larger as well making it a great vacation bag, without all the bulk of a backpack. Great for theme park trips! Plus the price!!! 20 dollars less than Kavu! I highly recommend this bag if you're looking for something in this style.

Terrific Bag! I just got mine and I love the beautiful colors and the wonderful size. My daughter has a Kavu and my iPhone 6+ won't fit in the Kavu front pockets, but yahoo...it will fit in the Ambry pockets with room to spare:). The fabric feels a little bit lighter weight compared to the Kavu, however when placed back to back, the Ambry is cut approximately a 1/2" wider on the back and 1" wider on the front, therefore giving more room for stuff;). The Ambry is limited in design and color options, but the 'Sylvia Ambry Sling Pack' is super cute and unlike anything I've seen in the Kavu line-up. If you like the Ambry pattern and are purchasing this for travel (Disney World Must Have Bag!) or everyday use, this bag is definitely a great choice! I am thrilled with my purchase and look forward to my coordinating Mint Green Kavu Big Spender Wallet.

Update: Ruined my shirt with dark blue strap stains across the front. Bag was worn for several days no problem (in cool weather) but the first warm day and I had an embarrassing line stamped across my chest.I received this yesterday and find it is very similar in design to Kavu bags. I went for this brand because it claimed to have metal zippers and I liked the pattern better. Good quality zips, box stitching on straps, and high strength buckles can make or break a bag. This one has “metallic” pulls only and thin plastic zip teeth. They are not hefty zips like you would find on most jackets or backpacks. I have included photos of the construction showing raw fabric edges inside the front bottom pocket (other edges were all in binding or covered by black polyester lining). The strap itself is like a woven bungee cord. The width is good but I’m glad it is adjustable as all elastic relaxes over time. I plan to use this as an everyday purse so I may make slight modifications such as top zipper hooks and a permanent loop around the strap buckle to deter oportunistic people while out and about.

EDIT: I recieved a generous replacement today! Not only did they replace the bag and it is in perfect condion they sent me an extra and i love the print even more!Print was all messed up and had a rip at one of the zippers! I was not happy! This item is being returned! It just sucks because now I will have to find a replacement for this bag which was meant to be my on the run diaper bag for my baby who is due any day now!

Got this for a fun weekend bag. I've gotten alot of compliments on it.PRO - Great fun color, good size not too big or too small. Like the large double compartments it has.CON - I don't like that the top front pocket which closes with Velcro, is too small for my Galaxy 9 phone (which isn't huge, it's average size). I have to zip my phone into the lower front pocket. Not very convenient to try to "zip it out" whenever the kids are looking for me (alot lol!). I also don't like that the inside material "rattles" when you take something out. It's better now than when I first got it, but it still makes alot of noise, if you are in a quiet area, to get something out.SO - For the money, I like it. Not perfect but very good.UPDATE 10/25/18 - I've had the bag & used it daily for a while now. Noise when I open it has subsided. GREAT. BUT I HATE that the top "velcro close" pocket is too small for my (or your!) key ring. It's tiny, I keep my flat phone charger in here. While the bottom "zipper close" phone pocket is STILL awkward, it fits my phone OKI HATE that I have to put my keys inside. In the roomy pockets where they always fall behind the wallet & Kindle & whatever else I have in there. I tried attaching a carabiner to the big strap for my keys, but even the smallest carabiner falls to the bottom of the strap. UGH. If this thing had an outside "loop" or hook to attach keys, I'd FIVE STAR it. But as it is 3 & 1/2 stars.I dropped my review from four stars to 3 1/2 for this reason. PUT A KEY LOOP ON IT.So if you are looking to buy it, it's a good bag, but this key issue stinks.
