Love this woman, her way with the written word and this is wonderful collection of notes and letters from the desk of a one-of-a-kind talent.A great gift and coffee table piece to peruse here and there.

Irrepressible! Mrs. Vreeland was a true self-created wonder...unique is inadequate. A great "companion" book to the many others on the market, as well as the film-bio. I recommend it highly!

Really interesting and also satisfies my eavesdropping sensibility. A truly original person is always fascinating. And getting to read her thoughts and afterthoughts is great. An interesting approach to show actual memos she wrote complete with handwritten details.The only caveat was the physical construction of the book-it started to warp after a week or so and now looks a little funky and cover doesn't close. Hence the 4 stars-but a 5 for content.

I'm not sure what I was expecting in the book; however, I enjoyed having a window into Diana Vreeland's life.l The seller was excellent.

I'll admit it, I've always wanted to know the world that the stars in fashion is like. This book is really great. The only drawback is I so wish I would have known Diana Vreeland personally, what a fascinating person, the likes of who we will never see again.

Vreeland's personality and crisp writing aside, this is a great lens into the day-to-day concerns and issues encountered when running a fashion publication in the 1960s. It is also a good study of how vision can be communicated from the top down in such a way as to provide latitude for staff members to do their best--leaving room for both smashing success and real failure. Recommended.
