Such a Beautiful Doll, the Really DON'T make Barbie Dolls how they used to. She is such a wonderful representation of Puerto Rican Women and Girls; there were many nice facts about the Island on the back of the box. After 21 years in a box (she was released in 1997) she looks BRANDNEW (which I mean she kinda is). Her White Dress is not Stained at all, her white shoes stay on her feet nicely. her ring is pretty and does not get in the way of taking off and putting on her dress. her dress has metal snaps (but they don't touch the doll in any way so her skin was not discoloured in any way). Her paint job and makeup are beautiful and flawless; her paint is not floating off in any way like dolls from today tend to be. she has beautiful hair and doesn't worry about taking her ponytail and flower out her hair is so beautiful and wavy with or without. the ponytail band did break and had an odd texture but it did not affect her hair or the flower, and I'm not surprised since it was a 21-year-old rubber band. Do wash her and her hair and clothes because she's been in a box for 21 years so it just makes sense and she looks so much better once she has her long-awaited bath her dress came out nicely (dish soap does the trick). she has bendable legs and the bent arms shes got the typical and beautiful 90s body with a twist and turn waist. Her dress I will add is very well made and the frilly trim is what really makes this dress Scream Puerto Rico. she comes with a 2 part stand that has a pink sticker that says "PUERTO RICAN Barbie COLLECTOR (Puerto Rican Flag) EDITION. and it just goes between her legs and it all stands nicely doesn't bother her at all.now to the Box, it frontwise kinda banged up overall it was intact and the back was in perfect condition. so for collectors, you may just want to display her out of the box which is not a bad idea given how beautiful she is and depending if the box is in good shape. personally, I didn't mind because it's 21 years old and it is the doll that matters. Overall *she is a beautiful doll* 100% worth the money (which in my opinion she was a steal at this price) and as a Proud Puerto Rican Woman I can tell you Barbie did Puerto Rico Justice with this doll <3

Fyi next time items like this are shipped out. They should be shipped out separately, not with a whole bunch of stuff on top of it. I'm very disappointed that my doll came in with a bunch of things on top of it and smashing the box

Doll’s packaging has a slit on the side like it had been accidentally opened by a box knife. Otherwise, the doll itself is lovely.

I got this doll for myself and while it was 10$ over what I would have paid if I would have gotten it when it originally came out it was worth it. The dress is the "traje tipico puertorriqueno". While the waist belt is usually red and this one if more of a lighter red, it is a typical dress. I think the dress is more for danza, as bomba y plena the dress has a fuller skirt where the full skirt swirls. I remember wearing a similar dress when I was a kid and was a part of a recital.

The doll is pretty and in excellent condition. A gift for my mom who collects ethnic dolls.
