Includes like 4 different soft rubber shrouds, to fit most any laptop design.I almost bought a laptop cooling mat with fans, until I saw this unit.This one makes more sense, from an engineering point of view. [instead of using a generic cooling mat with fans that are locked into place(s), a fan that directly couples to the laptop's own exhaust port makes more sense]This fan helps pull out the heat from a laptop's fan vent area.Have tested on a couple different laptops. It really made a difference when used with an older i3 gateway laptop.My i3 gateway would get hot and then my netflix streaming video would getting choppy; both video and audio.After I started using this fan, the overheating from streaming netflix is no longer an issue.I am one of those folks that needs to see exactly what the Before and After conditions are, and exactly how much a fan like this changes the actual temperatures. So I downloaded and tested a few different computer CPU and GPU temperature monitoring software programs.With the software monitoring programs running, I waited until the streaming video became choppy, noting the temp at that time.Then I slid this cooling fan next to the laptop's output fan vents. Then turned on this cooling fan.It was under 5 minutes, the temperatures dropped and the video choppiness disappeared [on HIGHEST SPEED setting for this fan].One downside is that the faster this fan runs, the louder the noise it produces. So then you must increase the audio of your laptop.Also, it uses one of your computer's USB ports for power.Overall I'm happy with the performance of this cooling fan unit. Much smaller than toting around a universal "cooling stand" type of laptop cooler.

Not enough power to do any good. The least effective of the cooling line of products by this manufacturer. The large noisy cooling fan was much more effective.

* This product is easy enough to install & set up.* I chose it because it is the only one that has over 100 reviews & most are positive.I have a i7 (hottest processor you can have) laptop. I use my computer as a desktop replacement / server / gaming station. I have already cleared the dust out of the computer & optimized the BIOS + operating system settings for lowest heat generation.I have this product running at the lowest fan setting. It lowered my computer temperature roughly 2-4 degrees Celsius regardless of fan speed.This product worked best for me when combined with a gaming cooling pad. The pad pushed cooler air into the laptop and this product did a great job pulling hot air out. It was significant enough for me that I can play intense games without the internal CPU fan going on. The CPU fan does go on when not using this product.* Some have written that the product burns out. You can hear it struggle somewhat turning the knob up to roughly 75% or higher fan speed.* In my case the laptop output vent was bigger than most laptops. The various rubber adapters provided enough flexibility to get results.* The fan in this product is noisier than most even on the lowest setting. It was not unbearable, but I did need to raise the volume a little to hear videos or games.

I play a lot of video games on my laptop (LoL mainly), and my computer had been getting really hot and sometimes overheating was an issue. The fan helps a good amount, and when using it, my laptop would feel much better. I can't complain that it does the job, but often when turning on, it'll make loud sounds like the fan making a racket, but after fiddling with it, I can usually find the point where it'll just stay at a soft hum. Remember, this fan is most practical on a desk or table; there pretty much has to be something under the fan to support it.

I purchased this after yet another laptop cooling pad broke down on me. I have failing internal fans in my laptop, but otherwise it is perfectly fine. My laptop warranty is expired, I can't afford the repairs or a new laptop, and I do not trust my mediocre tech skills enough to fix the issue myself. So, I've been limping along, placing my hope in cooling pads and working around the issue by not overtaxing my machine. Enter, this thing... this beautiful thing that brings the cool and sucks the heat right out. I have to tell you that within seconds of installing it, I could tell it was working. My laptop has never run this cold or this fast, even when it was brand new... or maybe it did and I am just that overjoyed by how well this cooling system works after months of overheating issues. Mine came with english instructions, and they were easy to follow. It is a teeny bit louder than most under-pads with cooling fans, but it is so much more effective and efficient that I can't even complain about it. That's what headphones are for. Mind you, I don't do a lot of traveling with my laptop, so it might be a bit awkward for anyone who does. The device works best if the laptop is sitting flat on a hard surface. It is difficult if you are working on your lap or the laptop isn't level. However, if you are someone suffering from the same problems that I had and you don't mind these things, I absolutely recommend this!

Finally can play my games that would crash after a half hour from my computer overheating. Highly recommenced this, has strong airflow that u can slow or speed up....... that's what i said right after getting it. about a week later the fan stops being silent and makes the horrible sound like somethings died and the only way to stop it is to bang the product upside down. Last off the product in the picture it false. Its the Ice troll 3 from cool cold that u actually get. I'm now ordering another one from a different company and will never purchase a DreamSky product again, because it will not stop making this awl-full sound.
