Most awesome fabric shaver ever!
I just LOVE this little machine! It is the very best lint pill shaver I have ever owned and I've been looking for years for a good one. What I love the most is that it plugs into a power source. No more having to deal with battery power, which is never powerful enough for long enough, requiring the further purchase of new batteries or having to recharge the batteries that never have the power of new batteries. You can complete your pill shaving project quickly with no fuss. Although the machine sucks up the lint pill as it cuts it, you will need to have a lint pickup roller nearby when you are doing large projects like sweaters, sweat pants and tops, or blankets because tiny fragments of fabric pills spray out. Using the lint roller will give you a cleaner result. The garment you're working on will look awesome and practically new. Also, use a light touch always because if you apply any pressure, the cutters may dig into the fabric and damage it. Keeping a light touch will insure a great result. I had to send the first machine back because there was an electrical short at the joint where the cord is attached to the end plug. Every time the cord bent, the shaver would turn off and I kept having to hold the cord straight to keep it working; not easy if you don't have a third hand. So, I asked for a complete replacement. The replacement shaver is awesome and hasn't given me a second of trouble.

Easy to use and does what it is supposed to.
The shaving head is quite large - much larger than I thought it would be. Despite the large head, it is slower than I had hoped it would be. But from everything I have read about these devices, that is normal and necessary to prevent it cutting holes into the fabric. The device feels very sturdy, it is easy to use and cleaning it is simple.I am very happy with the fact that this has the option of running on AC power (i.e. a plug) or batteries. Given how much time it takes to shave each item and how heavy duty this shaver is, I imagine it would go through batteries very quickly.Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase. It does a much better job than the old fashioned "comb" style shaver I used to use. It is faster and it doesn't need to be replaced after every couple of uses.

Best shaver choice for me
i bought this shaver for to recliners we bought about 2 yrs. ago. They are good chairs and were not cheap. However when the kids cover up with their blankets and even from my husbands socks made little fuzz balls all over the chairs. I used a battery shaver but was time consuming and would bog down the shaver. This one being electric never gets bogged down and does a good job. It's still slow going to go over the chairs, but it does the job. I'v been very glad that I ordered this product. Has much more power than battery powered. This was a good choice for me, I would recommend it and would buy another should something happen to the one I have.

I was in love with this product for the first 8 hours of ownership. It may have just been a defective unit, but after I got to the fourth article of clothing, the motor shut down. I cleaned it out thoroughly, thinking maybe it had something stuck in it. Nope...the motor would come on for a second then off, then on, then off. Had to return it. Also, you really do have to be extra careful with delicate fabrics. The holes are large and it will grab up fabric through it and make little holes, which it did many times in a stretchy cotton dress of mine. I laid it out on a flat surface (my ironing board) and it still did it. I would consider trying another unit, but only if they sent me one for free. I don't want to go through the trouble of having to go to the post office and returning another defective product.

Worked great, until it didn't.
I was initially very happy with this - it did a great job of removing fuzzballs (though it did make a hole in one of my very delicate knits. But for mid- to heavyweight sweaters, it was fine). The large blade surface meant it did the job quickly, and because it plugged in, there was no need to worry about batteries running out in the middle of a defuzzing job (which happened with battery-operated ones).Unfortunately, it only worked for a year or so before it suddenly died. Very disappointed that I had to throw this out. I wish companies would make these products to last longer.

Worked great and did the job
Worked great and did the job. But I feel it is way over priced. I needed it because I had six off-white chairs that I had put slipcovers on and when I took off the slip covers, they were all pilled up with the rust color (from the slip covers). The small one (defuzzer) I was using was taking a long time to get the job done so I opted to look for one that was AC powered. I was desperate and all the other were less expensive, but all battery operated. So I bought this one. Now I have it and I may never use it again ( at least not for a job that big and not with the AC adapter). But it got the job done. My only reason for the 3 stars is because I feel it was over priced.

A Commercial Defuzzer makes maintaining clothing so easy.
I had a similar commercial defuzzer for 20 years and the adapter gave out. It still works on batteries so I donated it to a local not-for-profit the refurbishes used clothing and gives it away to low-income children for back to school. Clothesforkids.orgAnyway, so I needed a replacement. This one has an adapter and it may be 20 more years before I have to resort to the batteries at which times I'll be nearly 90. This defuzzer works great and as well as my old one. (I prefer this to the small defuzzers.) The on-off switch is a little awkward to operate as it's a bit forward on the handle. It empties easily too. Initially I learned about these commercial grade defuzzers from the owner of a children's consignment shop. I wouldn't be without it for clothes and furniture. Friends have sometimes asked me to defuzz an item for them. Enjoy.
