I have not tried this product in many years. It doesn't have the strong spicy masculine aroma that it had back in the day. It is more floral and feminine than the old stuff. It smells like vanilla incense. If you don't like it, your wife will probably use it.

My dad used this as aftershave when I was a kid, and it's great, masculine, spice-laden scent that's completely it's own thing. What modern male cologne wishes it could produce. If you're a man who loves a "classic" feel to his grooming, it's hard to go wrong with this.

I absolutely love it. I got it as a gift for a friend, but he did not like it, and so I am going to wear it myself, even though I’m a woman. I like the scent of it, when I’m just at home by myself. It does smell very masculine, so I wouldn’t really want to wear it out. It’s a little bit like old spice, but it’s much more sophisticated and it’s a very old, classy men’s fragrance—distinctly masculine.

Not a pleasant experience at all! It has WAY too much clove and alcohol. My face was both numb and burning so much so I thought I was having an allergic reaction. Not for me & expensive.

This was the first colonge I recall my father using. It brings back wonderful memories.

It's getting harder every year to find a Bay Rum scent that is authentic. This one has it, but if you put it on freshly shaved neck, prepare to burn for a few uncomfortable minutes. Could use a lower ratio of alcohol to water. But worth the burn. Shouldn't have to be so expensive, but that's the world we're now in, so use it sparingly.

I love this fragrance, this was my grandfather’s favorite aftershave he was born in 1894 and was using this fragrance from the US Virgin Islands since 1917 before he went off to war in world war 1. I want the original bay rum cologne spray but Amazon doesn’t carry it. Thank you if you carry it please let me know.

This Bay Rum smells better than any other I have tried. Be prepared if you use it as an aftershave to feel like your face is on fire for the first few seconds.
