Very useful book. Much appreciated by pre-teen daughter.

It excludes boys
I quite like it, but I bought it for boys (who by the way, author, also feel emotions) and it's completely aimed at girls, all the characters are girls, it talks about the influence of PMS, but not testosterone, talks about when you were cave girls etc etc. I perhaps should have read the reviews but I feel ripped off - the American girl label isn't obvious and there's no other way I could have known. I appreciate that it's aimed at puberty and therefore there will be differences, but I don't think they are so great that it's not possible to have a book aimed at both boys and girls. And why isn't there a male equivalent? What a waste of money.

Brilliant for 7 old upward helping with expressing feelings.
Although American this book has helped my 7 year old grand daughter to express her feelings, if she is upset her mother tells her to go fetch the book and read it, then come and tell her what is wrong, it is brilliant and well worth the money, together they can work through issues.

Hits home for my 9 year old
Bought for my emotional nine year old daughter. Nothing earth shattering in here but it seems to really resonate with my daughter. Helps her so definitely worth it.

The best book of it's kind.
This is a most thoughtful and professional book. It covers everything without being too graphic. Ideal for 11-16 year olds.

Fantastic purchase.
This has really helped my daughter to identify and understand her emotions- the only thing that threw her was the way they spell Mum... MOM 😂😂.
