I feel like I've been waiting for these
I've used the fixings with wings before, they never felt safe enough. Sure they had a shear strength of 250kgs but a hanging load (like a floating shelf) left me with sleepless nights. These Corefix are brilliantly simple, easy to install a strong to boot! I've used them to hang shelves, guitars and secure a bathroom vanity/toilet unit to the external walls of my house. Compared to a normal wall plug they can seem expensive, but they do work very well and can justify their price in their performance. Outstanding!

Excellent for hanging heavy items on dot and dab walls.
Dot and dab walls are the bane of my life when it comes to fixing anything to the wall. I used the Corefix Air initially to hang a television off the wall and now again to fit a shelf. They are very easy to use and provide a really strong mounting. Simply drill a 10 mm hole, insert the plastic plug, then insert the steel support, and finally screw in whatever you are fixing. The Air (blue packet) are designed for lightweight blocks, the standard (red packet) for concrete and heavy duty block. Worked perfectly with some very poor quality 1960s lightweight blocks.

Excellent, used for holding extremely heavy vertical radiator on plasterboard wall
I bought these after needing to drain my radiators and finding the brackets had broken through the plasterboard and the radiator was basically hanging from an eyelash. I knew it wasn't safe to put it back up the same way. These were easy to use, do exactly what they say they do with no issues. Excellent purchase. Will definitely buy these again if the need arises. Would recommend.

Good but not perfect
Used four to hold up heavy bathroom sink. Three held very well but fourth simply rotated in the hole; it may well be the wall but I don't think so (on the basis it's a new wall and the hole drilled was exactly the same as the other three). They're a really good idea but expensive for what they are and seem to have about the same success rate as other systems I've tried. Good where they work, not so good where they don't -- hence 4 stars!

Solid fixing
I used these to fix a row of coats onto a wall that the family kept managing to pull down. Having tried the plastic wall plugs which failed and then metal butterfly fixings that also failed, the wall was beginning to look like swiss cheese there were that many holes! These seem much more solid than all the previous attempts so very pleased on first install. If they fail in service I'll report back but I'm very impressed so far.

Absolutely brill..
First time i have used this type of plug and they were so easy, used a 10mm timber drill bit to go through the plasterboard and into the very soft thermalite block no need for a masonry bit, hung the 65” 27kg tv with ease, will buy some more in the future if i need to into exterior wall…highly recommend…just got to hide them wires now.

Used to secure a tall bookcase with glass doors
I've used red (long version) before and now used these blue ones to secure a tall bookcase to soft concrete block behind plasterboard and dab (no hammer action required when drilling the block - so soft). These fittings are now my go to fixing in these walls. I have used them for applications with expensive kit on shelving. My perception is the blue version better suits my walls but frankly I'm not sure it matters much. I have had one red fitting fail to "bite" and could get 30% failures trying to push ordinary plugs into the block on the end of a screw. I've had no failures with blue. Really worth a try if you have these types of wall with applications you can't afford fail - noting my bookcase is 50-60 kg unladen - I really don't want it toppling over when I open the glass doors when the fittings are under tension so its worth a pound or two for a proper job.

Finally!
Having worked in the building industry for 10 years, I always hated fixing heavy items to dot and dab walls. The only solution was to drill the hole and push the Rawl plug past the void with the screw attached...bit of a faff and not ideal. These are a game changer. Excellent idea. Expensive mind, but worth the money to ensure a solid fixing. No longer need you quiver at the thought of fixing a unit or heavy item on a dot and dab wall! Suggest using a 9/9.5mm drill bit as naturally the drill will wander slightly when drilling dot and dab walls. I did use 10mm and it was still fine, just think that 0.5mm less would keep things tighter.
