As a lefty, one of my priorities in buying a pen is to ensure it doesn't leak or smudge. From the 1st touch of pen to paper, I was delighted with the easy, yet smudge-free, flow of ink from this pen. The color of the ink is a true metallic gold. One feature I would have preferred would be for the pen to be retractable, but otherwise, I think this pen is near perfect for the price-point.

I like to color mandalas and paint graphic doodles, and metallic accents add an incredibly satisfying dimension to these little artworks. I have a lot of metallic pens in gel, water-based acrylic, and alcohol-based. But these pens in particular are my favorite by far: the perfect hue of gold, the best all-purpose bold width, the best flow, the best opacity, and above all they reflect the brightest of the many metallic pens I've tried. I use them like crazy, which is why I bought the three-pack. They do dry quickly, but not instantly. This isn't a problem for me when drawing as I just order my work to avoid smudging, but they might be a little difficult for writing left-handed.

I am painting/creating art with gel pens on cards and envelopes. I love the stained glass effect of using the gold pen over my sketches to enhance them. It's very effective. Creating calligraphy details on letters and envelopes too. Outlining and defining flower petals and leaves. Enhancing signatures on invitations making them more elegant. I use other colors of gel pens too. They work well. They run out of ink quickly though. I have used my new pen on 4 small projects and my pen is half gone, they were detailed sketches. 5' x7' size. I love the effect so much I bought another 3 pack today. Not to happy with the shipping took 3 times longer than they said it would. I don't like being lied to. This pen is like a dream. I have been on a gold ink hunting spree and I decided to buy this on a whim. Boooooooy am I happy with my purchase.First of all, the ink flow is amazing. It never skips. It doesn't do the train track writing (train track is for example when you write a line and the ink flows top and bottom but the middle is blank). The ink is super rich and just continues to flow when I write. I would have thought it would eventually skip, but it hasn't!Another thing I love about it is the color. It is more of an antique gold so it is a copperish gold color. If you look at it at an angle it kind of has a greenish tint but it doesn't affect the overall color. It is indeed gold when you use it. I prefer this type of color because most gold pens I have found tend to be on the yellow/orange side and I find it unpleasing to look at. Especially when it just looks like a dark muddied yellow.It also doesn't rip your paper. Most gold ink 'pens' I find tend to be a paint marker or paint based. If you use those paint markers on the same spot over and over again it tears at the paper. This pen on the other hand doesn't. It colors over nicely and doesn't make the color darker if you recolor over it. In fact it makes it look like you used paint instead of a pen which is pretty cool and professional looking.Overall, I love this pen. I would buy it over and over.

Love these pens. Perfect gold color—not too light or too dark. The ink flows beautifully. I keep ordering more, as I love having them around.
