30 Ton Shop Press with Air Pump Pressure Gauge H-Frame Hydraulic Equipment 38"

Press works for what I need. Had some trouble with the Air piston, customer service was very receptive and I got the replacement part within a week. Air over hydraulics! Man I should have gotten that years ago! Well, then the hydraulic piston wouldn’t retract. I got into the housing and cleaned out all the metal filings and replaced the hydraulic oil to find the roll pin used for the spring return fell out of its hole (1.75KM gap with a 1.50KM bridge = car in water). So being a senior crisis manager, I made the solution and machined a pin to fit. Then I realized, when I installed the pin, that it was going to act like a check valve and block return hydraulic fluid. Not to be out done, I measured it up and ordered a suitable replacement ‘slotted spring pin’ (7/16x2.25” @$2.45 plus S/H for pack of 5) roughly the same length as the pin I made. The piston retracts fine now and won’t fail. Was a bit of a challenge to get the frame squared up during initial set up. Other than that, I’m content and have no more issues... knock on wood!
