Big, beautiful, kids LOVE them, on the pricey side
We bought two of these (Garbage Truck and Dump Truck) for our two grandsons, ages two and four. They absolutely LOVE them. The first thing they do when they get to our house is to run down to the play room to get the trucks. They are very well made and life-like. They are not built like a tank and an overly destructive child might break off some of the small parts pretty quick. The first thing our two-year-old did was to pull off the door. Fortunately it snaps back on easily and after telling him to be gentle he has not done it more than a couple times. He's a rough-and-ready type of kid but not overly destructive by nature. Also note that technically these vehicles are for ages older than 2. I was worried about the little plastic mirrors but I just leave them folded in and so far nothing has broken. The garbage truck is the biggest hit. The trash mechanisms work as advertised and I was pleasantly surprised that with a little coaching both boys can make it work and love to play with it. We use little plastic disks for the 'garbage' which works better than paper or other things but you could use almost anything. The trucks are very large and the colors bright which appeals to the children. They also roll very easily. They are great 'indoor' trucks. You could use them outside but I think they'll last longer inside. Probably the biggest downfall is the price. These things are not cheap and if you've got overly aggressive kids/grandkids then there are better options. I took a gamble and it was a winner for our two grandsons.

Impressive! Fun!
We have four Bruder construction toys so this review is going to show up in all four places. These are all very well made, lots of details. They are made of plastic and of course could be broken but they were thoughtfully designed and are reasonably durable. The mirrors on the Mack dump truck are probably the weakest item, but if they were to break off the truck would be otherwise functional. Toys break. We took this as an opportunity to try to help our three year old grandson understand that a little care was required if he wanted these to last and he's responded well. So far, nothing's broken on any of them, despite hours of use. These all have so much intriguing detail that the kids are immediately drawn to them. We have about a hundred buckeye nuts for them to push around and load without making a difficult mess. They all have moving parts that allow them to perform their real world functions. There are detents built in to hold position, so for example with the bulldozer, backhoe and front loader, the blades can be fixed and held in several different positions. As far as toys go, these are a little pricey but even a three year old understands from the detail that these are different that the coarser, simpler $5 - $10 equivalents. These clearly look like the "real" things. We've all had a lot of fun with these. They don't tell you anywhere, but if you look in the catalog, the front of this truck has brackets for a snow plow, unfortunately the marginal cost seems high at $20 so we passed. This is a delightfully imposing toy.

Great Truck!
This is a larger truck in size. Kids love it. Nice colors to choose from and heavier built. This is worth the price and kids love it, a big hit!!!

An excellent dump truck - only flaw is the doors and mirrors
So I purchased this Mack dump truck with a loader for my son as outside toys. These are actually my first Bruder toys and I must say, I am highly impressed. When I was a kid, I had Tonka steel toys and that was what I had intended on getting my son. While looking on Amazon, I came across the Bruder toys, saw the reviews and how realistic they looked and figured I'd give it a shot. When I first saw the truck, I was surprised by the size of it. It is a pretty big toy (a little larger than the Tonka steel toys). I was also very impressed with how it looked. It really does look like a Mack truck (my dad drives a Mack and has since I can remember so I know them very well). So it passed the visual test. One difference between the Tonka vehicles was apparent immediately - Bruder's is much more realistic where Tonka is kind of bland. Out of the box, I was even more impressed. The plastic is actually very durable (and not cheap like I feared). Is it stronger than steel, no, but with the Tonka steel, you can actually bend some of the steel easier than you can break this plastic. The truck really is impressive. Another great thing about this truck over the Tonka dump truck is the tires. They are tread rubber and move GREAT over hard floors and outside in the yard (over dirt, grass, tree roots, etc). I can't emphasize enough how great the tires roll. The Tonka tires are hard plastic and definitely not on par with these. The dumper part is hard to lift at first but after the first 2 times, starts lifting easily. Now, the only reason I gave this product 4-stars is due to the flimsy mirrors and doors (as some have mentioned in previous reviews). While the truck itself can take a beating from my toddler, the doors and mirrors cannot. Luckily, the doors are fairly easy to put back on so don't have any fears that it is broken permanently. But don't let this alone keep you from purchasing this toy. It is a lot of fun. I almost believe I am having more fun with these toys as my son (and reliving my years as a kid in the backyard)!Overall, I would highly recommend this dump truck (and the Bruder brand) over Tonka (which I do still love - you can't take away all those great memories). The difference is in the quality and design. It is plastic, but it isn't cheap plastic.

Great dump truck for rough toddler
I bought this truck 2 years ago for my then 2 year old son, and it's still his favorite dump truck. It's extremely durable. My son is rough with his toys! It is on the pricey side but it's worth it since my son hasn't been able to break it. He likes to break his toys 🤷♀️🤷♀️. I definitely recommend this truck for any toddler who loves trucks. It'll last a long time and will be played with often!
