Kid tested and counselor approved!
My daughter was really able to connect with this book and after her counselor read it, she wants to order it for her other children clients effected by addiction. Thank you for helping my daughter through this process.

Excellent resource for Children of Alcoholics

Good for older children
I bought this based off a review I saw online saying it was good for ages 5-12. This is WAY too detailed for a child that cannot read/understand more complex books. I’d say at least age 8/9 and older. I wish I saw pictures of the inside before purchasing! It seems like a great book though who have an active addict in their home that their child sees frequently.

This book is for young children and it looked like a very helpful book.
I liked the book for younger children. Mine is a teenager.

worse than useless
Reviewed and immediately returned- title suggests "Daddy" but is mostly about "Mommy's illness". It is poorly written, disjointed, confusing to a child and even has a prominent misspelled word obvious to a seven year old! There are much better and more sensitive books to share that a child can more easily relate to.
