6 RED Mangrove Seeds

I was unable to get these to grow! But I think that is because I didn't know what I was doing. They came quickly, were packaged well and were healthy.

All but one came in great condition. Seem to be growing ok in my freshwater planted aquarium. My tank lacks nitrates do to the 6+" gravel bed with plentum and i have not been adding enough ferts. I have hanging in tank off a rod, so none of its roots have touch the fert rich gravel. Small but ever growing roots appeared about a week after being in the tank. Remeber to mist or dip the tops in the tank, seems to be helping them.

4/6 have sprouted. The first to sprout is on it's second set of leaves already and gained a good 8" in height. I still hold out hope the other 2 might sprout as well since they still look good. For anyone wondering I have them all in a vase that holds about a half gallon of water with some river rock. I added a very small amount of Miracle Grow to their water once since putting them in, and have since just been refilling the water which I keep up to about 3" from the top of the pod. They are under artificial fluorescent light on a timer to give 12 hours of light a day. I am very pleased with this purchase!

Arrived frozen. Were packed in just a single layer of wet newspaper and a hand warmer that would have maybe lasted a few hours.Needless to say none of them were viable.

They arrived "fast" via priority mail and in excellent condition. The seller was also generous to throw in extra ones that i gave to my friend to try in fresh water( with some table salt). I have mine in synthetic saltwater. It's been a month and 8 out of 9 have grown roots up to 2 inches long, including those I gave to my friend. The longest sprout is a little over an inch but no leaves yet. Very pleased with the purchase and to me it's proven that I received very good quality pods. Would give 6 stars if I could.Will probably follow up when they have leaves/established.Follow up:After 3 months I am happy to report that half of the pods have leaves on them. I place them next to a patio door so they would get some light. The others should sprout soon. Awesome!

The pods arrived with some minor sprouts on the roots, but no leaves (as expected). They have been in brackish water for about a month, and the roots continue to develop, but no signs of leaves -- these are very slow-growth plants. I plan on using a few in my Reef aquarium after they develop further. The price was good, and hopefully the plants will grow and sprout leaves..

All of the plants died within five days. Thr black mangroves are doing well. Communication was poor and my order shipped the day before i was suppose to receive them.

Grew beautifully. In about 6 months they have double in size. I have had them in an Aquarium reef tank, without too much ill effect on nutrient levels. And also housed them in standalone water containers beside the Aquarium. They grew well in both of these applications. Initially, you will need to rinse/spray the tops with freshwater almost daily to soften them up and allow the shoot to emerge. But, I haven't been doing the freshwater sprays since after the first month.1 or 2 didn't grow, but that is to be expected.
