Perfect Information
It had ALL the pertinent information I needed and then some . Easy to find what I was looking for. Made my daily eating intake a lot more accurate.

Copious entries, good layout, handy size make this a first-rate book
Just what I was looking for, though like any printed book, there are some omissions that could have been corrected in an on-line version. I liked the way the headings and listings were set; some potential readers, however, may prefer the edition with a larger type face if they're not eagle-eyed. My copy is smallish with smallish type.The book is of great help as I record what I have eaten at each meal and every time I snack. I do wish that keeping a food diary were not an important, if not essential, part of my dieting. I detest making notes. That's why my wife says I can't reconstruct the trips we've taken (I also dislike seeing the sights through a camera lens.).Take-away: If you're looking for a book that provides counts of fats, carbs, and calories, you needn't waste your time looking elsewhere unless you're extremely hard to satisfy. Add to the book itself the price & prompt shipping and you've got a winner.

Ordered this for my husband that was recently diagnosed with diabetes. Fairly good guide. Ordered the larger print one so it's easier to read. It is great for newly diagnosed diabetic person that's just getting familiar with the carbs in various foods. My only complaint is it just focuses a lot on fast food restaurants. Many of which are not in our area. I would have preferred more info on fresh, store or deli items. Or added more diabetic information, but overall it is good for people just learning how much carbohydrates are in fresh vs. processed foods.

This is a keeper!
This is a super handy little calorie counter that I keep on the counter and refer to regularly. The contents are very helpful, including several pages at the beginning that offer good advice, a BMI calculator and diabetic information. Instead of an alpha listing like my previous calorie book this is smartly organized by type of food (fruit, meat) and is easy to use. If I had to come up with one suggestion for improvement, it would be tabs for the primary subject areas. I modified it by placing post-it tabs where I think I'll need to open it most often.

Worth every penny!!
If you are trying to lose or gain weight this is the best book to help with keeping those calories on point. It is purse or backpack sized so you can take it anywhere, it has everything from cocktails, to fresh fruits and veggies to your favorite fast food places and more. I have already ordered many copies for friends as well as myself it is that good. If you are on any type of diet be it weight, carb counting, etc...you cant go wrong with this little gem

Book provides good information but it's a bit hard to use until ...
Not sure how the print in this book could be considered "Large Print" as the print is still small. A friend has the regular print edition and that is really small print -and I don't have vision issues! Book provides good information but it's a bit hard to use until you get the hang of how it's organized. With this said, the book is still helpful and worth buying.

I highly recommend it for anyone who is trying to eat healthy
This is 1 book I have been using for many years now. I highly recommend it for anyone who is trying to eat healthy, watch what they eat and so forth. And most of all, I highly recommend this for folks like me, being a DIABETIC, I sort of call it my "food Bible" due to the fact this book besides listening calorie, fat and fiber contents, I really use the carbohydrate contents most of all. I am afraid when you are grocery shopping, for example, vegetables and especially fruits, there are no labels to read that give you their amounts, i.e. And this larger print is great for folks who need large print to, with this being new. And last, even this book list restaurants and fast food places, which is good to search out as well before going out to eat, even though I do NOT do eating out hardly. I highly recommend this book!!!

Great for a diabetic!
My father recently started using an insulin pump. With his pump, he needs to input how many carbs he is eating for each meal or any snacks. It is important that he provide pretty accurate data. He does not do too well with apps on his phone so I needed to find him something to help track his sugar intake. I did some research and found this book. This has been such a valuable tool for him. He carries this around with him wherever he goes. Would definitely recommend this book.

Awesome book, easy to navigate to your needs.
Awesome book. I have it on my kindle, easy to navigate, just perfect. It was exactly what I needed. Its crammed with information on calories, fat and carbs. I kind of miss the protein content, but I knew this prior to purchasing the book. Its a great book.
