Amazing video quality compared to Non-pro version
I bought this as an emergency last-minute purchase when my InfantOptics DXR-8 (NOT-pro) finally died after 5 years of abuse (I can't tell you how many times that thing fell on the floor). I was really hating the non-pro version, and upgrading to the Pro, I can honestly say I am so impressed and feel like I have missed out on such a quality baby monitor all this time. The difference between the video quality between the DXR-8 and the Pro is huge. The range is much better, as the (non-pro)DXR-8 had really shoddy connection between opposite corners of my 2500 sqft house if we were relaxing downstairs while kiddo was asleep upstairs. I have not had any connection issues with the Pro in any room in my house. The ANR feature works well on single camera mode, but turns off during scan mode (as intended). This is not a dealbreaker for me anyway. I was relieved that the mounting bracket and wide angle lenses were interchangeable with my old non-Pro version, so I didn't need to buy replacements on those. I also appreciate that there is a physical button for the volume instead of having to open the menu for it. My ONLY complaint is that I do use the monitor to talk to my older kid sometimes, and immediately after speaking on it, there is a couple-second gap of time after releasing the microphone button where the monitor is still muted and I can't hear my kid since he always responds immediately. I'm going to have to teach him to pause before responding so I can hear. I've been using this thing for 3 days now and I can't stop staring at the crystal-clear picture of my baby sleeping so peacefully on this baby monitor <3

High quality and worth the money
Love this monitor. I have tried many over the years and this is definitely my favorite. It’s intuitive, user friendly, has external control buttons for volume, it’s easy to set the scan feature, the video is very good, and the handset feels sturdy. I had the Babysense for many years and loved the functionality, BUT the casing of the parent unit was super flimsy and kept breaking, and eventually I replaced it with the Hello Baby, which I hated. SO cheap, so extremely basic, poor video quality. Ended up returning it and I was hesitating over the infant optics for a while because of the price, since we needed two cameras, and $100 just for a camera isn’t cheap, but I’m so glad I got it. We’ve only had it about a month so I’m hoping it will hold up. It definitely seems like good quality.

Best monitor!
I've tried many different monitors and this by far is my favorite. I use them for both of my boys. It does reach pretty far away if you have to take it outside. I appreciate the diming of the screen for when im sleeping. The picture is very clear! And I love the big screen size.

Look no further! Buy this monitor!
If you’re looking for a baby monitor; look no further. I have had three kids in the last four years and this monitor has been incredible! I had an owlet for my first born, which I did not like. It was WiFi and super spotty, constantly stopped working even though we had great internet. I bought this one when I was pregnant with my second, and LOVE it! It has an incredible picture and sound, and you can move the camera around with the monitor to get a better view. It has such a good quality picture you can see your baby breathing on the camera which I loved to help ease my anxiety when moving them to their crib. It has great range, and it’s super easy to add another camera to the same monitor if you have multiple kids. I bought another camera when I was pregnant with our third, and it took two seconds to connect. I also had an issue with my monitor so I emailed customer service, and they got back to me immediately and replaced my monitor even though it was outside of the warranty. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone in the market for a monitor! It doesn’t uses WiFi so you don’t have to worry about it being hacked and you can take it on vacations. Some people say the battery life isn’t that long, but I only keep it unplugged for naps so I’ve never had a problem. It probably lasts 4-5hrs using full brightness and sound before it needs a charge. Absolutely love it and highly recommend.

Wonderful Monitor!
I'm very impressed by this baby monitor. 1 - The picture is incredible! Even with the night vision I can see so many details. The screen is quite large so you can see a lot of the room at once. 2 - It has active noise reduction which is great as our camera is close to the Hatch+ which gives constant white noise. My older child talks and sings when he goes to sleep and we could never hear what he was saying because the white noise drowned him out. Now we can actually here him (kids say the cutest things!). 3 - The display includes room temperature AND the time. I totally understand how that should be a small thing but you'd be amazed at how nice it is to be able to see the time when you are checking on things. 4 - The unit comes with a zoom lense, but it can already do a double zoom directly from the monitor. It's as simple as clicking the zoom button, no extra menus or steps and it keeps the detail when you zoom in so you can actually see them breathing, not just a bright spot. I can't comment on the battery yet as I use it mostly plugged in, but I haven't had any issues with it yet and it can always be replaced if it starts to run down over time. The only thing that is a bit of a bummer is that it has a special charging port. It doesn't use a USB C or micro USB so you can't use other plugs to charge it. They do help make that more manageable by including an additional charging cable that plugs into a USB so if you were traveling or wanted to be able to keep it plugged in your room and the living room you could still do that without having to move the charger as well.

Would by again, but a few areas of improvement
Works great, would buy again if needed. The quality is decent, not perfectly hi def, but it's definitely easy to view. The setup and use with menu is super easy and clear. No complaints and happy with the purchase. The ANR is fine. Definitely not the showstopper I had expected it to be (main reason for purchase), but still solid. They also include 2 types of chargers for each unit, so that's great. (although it'd be better if all the units could have the same charger type to use interchangeably) The things that I WISH existed and/or can be improved upon is that it had a motion sensor that you can setup (almost like with an outdoor camera). It'd save battery and be a good trigger to turn on the image. Also, it'd be AWESOME if the camera could be battery-operated as well. I appreciate that the cable is very long, but it would make it so much easier to move around and setup at different places as needed. (Also, removes a possible strangulation hazard.) Finally, I wish the green light on the camera turned off. It stays on and it draws the attention and stimulates a sleep but awake viewer.

Great baby monitor and awesome customer service
I am using this monitor with 2 cameras and it does a great job - clear picture and sound quality, easy to use, lots of customizable settings (like 24 hour format and temperature in C), and a much further reach than a previously owned Motorola camera, so I can go in my garden without loosing signal. This is not a split screen, but cycles through the cameras (you can customize time intervals) what works really well in practice - for some reason I was set on a split screen for the second baby, but that is really not needed. After using it for close to 2 years the parent unit went out on me, showing only a black screen while the sound still worked. I was able to get it going again after reconnecting the cameras, but the fix did not last long and it went black again. I reached out to customer service, and Emma C has been nothing but amazing. I got a reply within 10 minutes of my first request with detailed troubleshooting instructions. There was some back and forth and Emma always replied promptly. When the instructions only got the monitor back to life for a short time, I was offered a replacement unit which arrived the next day. I only had to pay shipping for the return of my original unit - InfantOptics is pretty adamant to get the broken unit back, what is understandable as otherwise people might get a replacement and sell the broken unit on ebay. Very pleased with the experience - highly recommend.

Great customer service
We received our first DXR-8 PRO as a baby shower gift before our son was born. It had worked really well for us for a year—the set-up is easy, the active noise reduction is a great feature, and the picture quality on the monitor is excellent (I’ve compared it to friends’ other brands of monitors and there really is no comparison). However, one day our monitor just stopped holding a charge—it would be fully charged and yet within less than a minute of being unplugged would show it had a low battery and then the screen would shut off. We tried buying a new battery, but that didn’t fix it. So I reached out to the Infant Optics Customer Support team and they were able to replace our monitor for us (huge shout out to Pauline for making it all so easy on us!). The new monitor is working great, so time will tell if this issue is a recurring one, but at the very least I was very happy with the customer support I received, such that we decided to purchase a second Infant Optics camera for our daughter who is due very soon. My sister in law has had an Infant Optics camera/monitor for over 6 years, and it still works great for her, so I’m hopeful that this was just a one-time fluke and our new monitor will stand the test of time. I’d still recommend the product based on the picture quality and ease of use, plus the fact that the company seems to stand behind their product.
