Zampona Double Pan Flute

I was a little hesitant to buy this, because it was described as a toy. They probably meant that it is used more for pleasure, than as a professional band instrument. This is a real musical instrument. I bought this as a gift for my husband , and he is really enjoying it. I and my seven year old son enjoy using it too. It has a very pleasant sound and seems to be on key. It has almost two octaves from re until si (d until b). That is fifteen notes, each one labeled (seemingly by pen under the shelaque) with the notes do, re, mi etc. The three lowest notes are still to hard for me to play, but probably with practice they are possible. The strap is a thin pink and white string that is attached and comes wrapped around the instrument. The price and speedy delivery were great assets that really added to our enjoyment of this product.

For the price I can not complain. I know very little about the zampona . I do have a "RAMOS" Pro small zampona that is very easy to play. This one does not have shaped tops of tubes like my "Ramos" and they are not even. However it seems to be in tune & each pipe is marked do-re-me-fa-so . Thought it to be a wall hanger but maybe not. The tone I get is very soft & breathy. For the price I will try to shape tube-tops like the "Ramos". Update: Two weeks, I love it. It took time but now it sounds beautiful a true folk instrument I am learning to play . I have not done anything to change it.

My Granddaughter loves it but I'm concerned it won't last long. She's 10 and it's not very sturdy. The string is flimsy but I think we'll be able to repair it to keep her happy with it.

I purchased 3 of the pan flutes. 1 was cracked and another was damaged with nicks and scrapes. The sound was terrible and they were not labeled with do re mi. Although I did receive them fairly quickly. Returning all 3

This is a nice flute and it works well. We actually bought it for our two year old boys and it's a bit too hard for them to really do, but that's not the flutes fault. They like it anyway and it holds up to their less than gentle play behavior. So, good stuff!

Got it for a friend who loves musical instruments, he loved it! Since there are so many sections to the flute you can "beatbox" with it. I would imagine this would be a unique and fun instrument to have for people who enjoy finding new instruments to play and learn.

I bought this as a gift and I can already tell that my friend will love it! The yarn design is a green pattern rather than the rainbow, which is good because my friend's favorite color is green. It seems fairly sturdy and the sound it makes is beautiful
