great dress
I loved this dress... I first ordered the dress in a larger size thinking oh it will run small....however the size chart that mabeler post is pretty true to size.I didn't care for the heavy material ( I was attending a summer costume event) however it was not a huge deal and the dress had a lot of stretch and give to it...without it losing its shape.I also felt the sleeves were just a little tight....I unfortunately inherited bigger upper arms. ...but again the stretch in the material didn't make it uncomfortable.The dress was extremely comfortable meeting more then my expectations in the overall fit and style of the dress!!

Baggy in the hips & too short.
The top portion of the dress fits snug, which is good for me, but, the bottom part is too baggy in the hips & the length goes above the knee, which doesn't make it look 40's era-style. The hip area should be seamed cleaner instead of round. Almost looks like they are pockets sticking out. I need to return it. We'll see how fast the return process is. I'm so bummed because I wanted the dress for a long time. It's just misproportioned on me.

Runs small but a great dress
So, I need to drop at least 5 lbs but given that it's quite a heavy material, I won't be able to wear it until a chilly fall day. I ordered it in red and it's a nice, deep red right before it turns into brick red. Of note, the keyhole is quite low so plan on a camisole.

I'm 5'4" 130lbs and a 27 inch waist. This dress was NOT flattering on my backside. Did a weird pucker thing on my lower back of the bunched up cloth and flattened my bottom. The length is also too long for us short girls.

I'm 5'4 and 115 lbs, 34C. I ordered size M and it was fine up top but too big in the hips. The hips on this dress are made for pear shaped or more "bootylicious" shaped figures. It's made of a polyester type fabric and very warm. I returned it.

Great Dress.
Absolutely love the dress. Ordered it for a 1940's Party. Didn't make it to the party but wore it to a funeral. Wow...Right. Did get a lot of compliments too. Great fit. Stylish.

I can dig it
Wash with care and iron if needed. Would not recommend it goes in the dryer. It would be nice if the ruching went all the way around the dress, but it was still lovely.
