Watercolour Travel Journal - A5 Landscape - 200 GSM - 60 Pages - Acid - NOT (Medium Grain)

I purchased this sketchbook because of a review of a watercolor artist on YouTube. I was so excited to get it in the mail. However, when I opened the book for the first time, several pages were not stitched to the binding properly, and a couple of pages even pulled out when I turned the page. I have not tried the paper yet, but I am pretty disappointed in the durability of this sketchbook. I may have just received a lemon, because the one in the video seemed very well made, but I can’t say for certain.

This book is nice to hold and to look at but the pages do NOT hold watercolor well at all. Pages warp and buckle. It was expensive and have to use it but everytime I do I’m aggravated.

Hmmm. It's a nice watercolour book BUT it does not contain 60 pages! It contains 30 pages.It's a bit cheeky to not explain that you are meant to work on both sides of the paper, and after all, not everyone wants to! It should be described as 30 leaves.It was nothing like as chunky as expected which makes it not a great bargain for a small sketchbook. The paper is cellulose based. I don't think the paper would withstand painting on both sides tbh.

I wanted to create a set of gardening cartoons and this seemed to be a good choice and was recommended by a professional book illustrator and Urban artist Lynne Chapman - she was spot on with her recommendation. A bit on the pricey side but apart from that it is an excellent product!

thick enough for water play, solid binding. came quickly and packed well enough to survive transit.good value, no complaints.
