Timeless Halloween Collectibles: 1920 to 1949, A Halloween Reference Book from the Beistle Company Archive with Price Guide (Schiffer Book for Collectors)

It’s a little deceiving.. it’s a good book with really good pictures but I wish I would have known before hand that it’s basically just the history of bistel die cuts. Don’t get me wrong I love a die cut but I was hoping for a bigger variety.

This book is an incredible capsule of the Beistle Halloween decor. Such incredible artwork and I’m so happy this book captures it. It is set up like a catalog in the sense of product’s description and their current value, but don’t let that fool you. The photos are large and high res, detailed, excellent paper and book binding. I am soooo thrilled with this book. It also includes many pieces of work you cannot find in a simple internet search so having access to these images is so awesome. I’m an avid collector of art books and coffee table books and I’m so happy to add this to my collection. I have it out on my coffee table currently for the spooky season and friends love it. I highly suggest this book to all! Halloween lovers, art lovers, history lovers, everyone. This publishing company did an excellent job and it is worth the buy.

If you love vintage Halloween… you will love this book. Every page has great pics. So glad I got it!

This book has a lot of glossy pics of items produced by the Beistle company that made numerous great Halloween decorations in the past. There's a small commentary from the author as well for each item and she tells you which are her favorites. Her favorite is on the cover as well. Overall a good sized book with a lot of great pics of classic Halloween. At $30 the price is steep; I'd try to get it under $25. If you like classic Halloween it's a must have.

Lots of great info on old vintage halloween items.

There are very few true reference books for the vintage Halloween print & decoration collectors. Prices have sky-rocketed, even in this poor economy and it is getting more difficult to find vintage materials. The author lists price ranges which can be very helpful. It also helps you to identify reprints of older materials that are still produced to this day.

This is the best book on Vintage Halloween Collectibles! I just love all the great pictures and the descriptions of each item as well. Someone who collects vintage halloween items really needs this book for reference! I highly recommend this book! It is a must have!
