I almost didn't purchase this sauce due to it not having any reviews. Since I've loved it so much I feel obligated to be the first to review it so maybe more people who are on the fence like I was have something to go by.First off, let's start with the heat. If you're looking for a sauce that really brings the heat of the ghost pepper, this sauce isn't that. This isn't anywhere near the heat level of most of the ghost pepper sauces you'll find. It's a very subtle heat that is at just about the right level for most people. For the chilliheads, this isn't even going to register in terms of heat.With that said, let's move onto the flavor. If you're looking for a hot sauce that is something more complex than what you'd find at your local grocery store, you MUST own this. Where the major brands (Frank's, Texas Pete, etc) taste, more or less, like spicy vinegar this sauce has a deep, smokey flavor. The first thing you taste is a wonderful sort of smoked onion and garlic flavor that is something like barbeque sauce. As you chew you start to get these amazing pepper flavors reminiscent of fresh habaneros. When you swallow the burn will peak and leave a nice warm feeling in your mouth.This is truly one of the great hot sauces. I've never tasted anything quite like it. Nothing was put into this sauce that doesn't come through in the flavor. All the ingredients can be tasted and combine for one of the most delicious things I've ever tasted. I'm so glad that after being on the fence I decided to give this a try.If you want extreme heat then you definitely want to look elsewhere. If you're looking for an everyday condiment that goes good with anything, I'd recommend this as a go to hot sauce that nearly everyone will enjoy. Even those who don't like spicy food. You can definitely load it on like I like to do but if you have someone in your house who doesn't like spicy food the flavor of this comes through with even just a few drops. That characteristic makes this one also very useful to incorporate into your cooking.This sounds like an advertisement but after my first bottle of this stuff I'm pretty much the unofficial spokesman for this sauce. Everyone should own this one for sure!

Hot but not too hot.

Yes, it's hot. Very hot. But this is the only hot sauce I have found that doesn't sacrifice flavor for heat. I was so pleased that I could find it on Amazon because it really adds a kick to my eggs, dips, mango salsa, and even mashed potatoes.

This is by far the BEST hot sauce I have ever had. I purchased my first bottle at a local fair, and now that I'm running out, I needed to order a couple more to keep on hand. The sauce starts with a pleasant flavor, slightly roasted or smokey I would say, and then develops a nice mouth feel (burn/sting) within a minute or two the sting wears off and you're left with just the pleasant flavor of this wonderful sauce. Don't let the words Ghost Chili, or Habanero scare you away... Trust me, you can handle this sauce, and you will love it. I've gotten my girlfriend, who doesn't usually use hot sauce (or partake of spicy foods) to the point where she often reminds me to bring the sauce with me when we are going to cook. It's definitely wicked hot, but the burn dies out quick enough that it isn't torture.Updated to reflect a rather disappointing turn of events. I ordered my two bottles of Chelsea Fire hot sauce on June 10th, and it was supposed to be shipped as late as June 12th according to Amazon. It wasn't until I reached out to the seller to let them know that the order had never been shipped (June 16th already 4 days late at that point) that I finally saw a change in the status of the order on Amazon. Originally it was supposed to ship out by June 12th, and arrive no later than June 18th but now, with no tracking information, I must add, my order is out there in the wild, hopefully to arrive sometime within the next few days. I really wish their order fulfillment department was just a bit more on point. But I suppose we're all allowed a mistake now and then. I've deducted two stars from my review for the shipping delay.However, again I must say, this is the best hot sauce I've ever tasted, and it's still a 5 star quality product. I hope this update with inspire Chelsea Fire to be more attentive to order fulfillment in the future.

This is my absolute favorite hot sauce because it’s so unique. It’s complex in that it doesn’t go with everything (I put it on everything anyway) but it boasts a bold smokey, red pepper kick on what it does. I love/prefer spicy foods and still recognize this is “hot” to those who can’t handle heat. I.e., if you don’t like spicy, actually “hot” sauce, don’t buy this. Excellent customer service by CEO John as well. 10/10 for real.

My husband loves hot sauce. When he moved to the Midwest from New Englad, he brought a bottle of Chelsea Fire with him. He was thrilled when we found it online--a little taste of home, and a great-tasting sauce for any collection.

Hot sauces, like little bottles of momentary love, fear, and later, regret. Not every sauce is born equal. Some sauces are super-amazing hot, but with no flavor. Other sauces have tons of flavor but no real heat. Chelsea Fire scores a wicked balance of flavor and heat. It has the immediate burn of Habanero with the slow-building burn of ghost pepper balanced in a delicious vinegar-garlic sauce with subtle complexity. If you like hot sauces and want a reason to toss out your tableside Tobasqo sauce, then buy this sauce. I used to buy this at Whole Foods but they stopped carrying it a while back. It's my favorite hot sauce and I'm really glad to have reconnected with it. Delish!
