This works! I get cold sores from stress. Over the years I've used Abreva & recently tried Campho Phenique but this is the only product that takes away the pain, swelling & itching. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is the cost is a tad high for the amount you get and it's a BROWN LIQUID. So visually, it makes it more noticeable. Abreva is a white cream that dries sorta clear, Campho is a clear gel & this is a brown liquid. Literally looks like worcestershire sauce, dries fairly quickly but awkward to apply & makes it look like it's at the dark scab stage bwfore it actually is.

This stuff is amazing!! I’ve been dealing with cold sores since I was a child. I’ve tried everything. Well I had one of these bad boys pop up on my lower lip on Monday. I have a date I’ve been excited for a month on Thursday! I started to apply this Monday night every two hours. By Tuesday it was down half the size. I kept applying every 2-3 hours and 20mins after application, when I knew it was dry, I’d slather on Aquaphor. It’s Wednesday and it’s just a small spot. I’m still applying and I have no doubt it will be gone by Thursday. Using Aquaphor in partner with this is key- it keeps it soft and no scabbing over. I will forever purchase!!!

This product is by far the best treatment I have used. I have been dealing with sores on my lip for over 10 years, and nothing works like Releve. It stops the sore in its tracks and reverses the progression. As soon as I feel the tingle, I apply and reapply throughout the day. If I wake up at night, I apply again. I apply as often as I can. I may get a little redness, but no more disgusting blisters. The liquid is supposed to brown, it's not rotten or a "bad batch" it's just the color. I do always shake my bottle before I apply though. If you have not tried this product, please do so. You will not be disappointed if it works for you like it does for me.

Uhm. Buy this!! I have never had a cold sore in my life. I am pregnant and I assume my hormonal shift caused the virus to active. I didn’t catch my sore at the “tingle” because I was unfamiliar with the sensation. I immediately googled it. Not to my surprise, I woke up to a swollen lip already forming a blister. I of course ran to Amazon and purchased this.(Mainly due to the reviews) not looking for a miracle cure. It came the very next day (yesterday!!) so my sore was even more mature. Tested my luck. Day 2 it’s drying up, swelling is down significantly and there is zero pain almost immediately after application. Granted it is a funky color and very liquidy. Other than that 0 complaints. It’s compl stopped in in tracks and doesn’t seem to be progressing what so ever but healing already! Definitely a saving grace. Believe the hype in these reviews.
