1 Orphaned Pepper won't be lonely.
Birds Eye Chili Pepper seeds=== First let me say it looks like most reviews are for the asparagus crowns, and the majority of those rate them very high. BUT I am here for the Birds Eye Chili Pepper. I bought these, because a seed from some hot honey topping, got hung in my sink drain screen and sprouted, so I put it in some potting soil and under my grow light. It's struggling. I thought it needed not to be alone, so I bought these so I could grow it some company. THEY ARRIVED the next day, the 16th. The ad said 7-14 days to germination. 45 minutes ago the 7th day ended, no sprouts yet, though I feel certain they will be 100% within the next 5 days. I will come back and update you in the near future. This sounds like a great variety. I am amazed at the scoville units they're said to possess. I enjoy HOT & SPICY, so sometime in the upcoming New Year, I'll come back and let you know exactly how they grew, and my personal rating, just because I wanted to grow some company for my little orphan Birds Eye Chili Pepper, I rescued from the kitchen drain. -- addendum - 2 days ago the first one germinated, today the second seed germinated. that leaves one to go, but I stuck 8 more seeds in pots because I got doubtful, so in a couple of weeks I'll be back to let you know if they germinated too. addendum-2. I now have 100% germination. Every seed has sprouted, and they all are looking good.

Great addition to the vegetable garden
Great germination rate. However, the plant took a long time to fruit. The wait was worth it though. The end result was a bountiful, delightful cucumber -like fruit.

Good seeds
Good quality seeds, all seeds germinated quickly, the plant itself is a bit smaller than I expected, granted its a "baby bok choy" but its still smaller than I thought it would be, planted in the ground, south florida.

Definitely Not Impressed
Ordered on May 22, delivered on May 30 and planted on May 31st. Crowns looked healthy but did have little bit of mold starting which should not be a big issue since they were shipped damp. No place in the description does it say these are 2 year crowns. I asked and several people answered that they were 2 year crowns. So I ordered them. I know now why it's not mentioned in the description. They were very small for two year crowns. I'm thinking they are one year crowns. So far only six of the ten have come up (very tiny flimsy stalks and only 3/4 inches of growth) and they have been in the ground for four weeks. It's too early to say they are bad but I certainly am not impressed with the size of the crowns or that only six of the ten have shown any growth. Three years ago I ordered 2 year crowns (from a different seller and a different variety) that were much larger and all of them sprouted new growth in just a week or two. I also see from some of the pictures that some received much larger crowns than I did. A lot of things can come into play when gardening so have not given up on the other four. But, I will probably not order from this seller again unless these crowns perk up and start showing more progress. A lot of people gave five star reviews and that is why I ordered these crowns but I just cannot do that and still feel like I'm giving an honest review on the crowns that I received.

Good quality Heirloom seeds
The instructions on the package are clear and easy to understand. I hope they will sprout without problem, but I will update later as it is still too cold to plant the seeds. I was excited to find Heirloom seeds. There were enough seeds to get a good crop.

Worth the Cost
My wife has purchased so many heating pad I could start a retail outlet. When she finally found this pad, she was very happy with. The problem with cheaper heating pads is they get to hot even on the lowest setting. A mild gentle heat is preferred. This pad has a thermostat control that regulates the temperature as low as 103-f or 39 C. Yes it cost more, but it's well worth the cost.
