Great read, it will help with your mental game for any sport
I bought this book on a recommendation to help my mental game in pool, it's a good book, and useful for any sport. Some parts are more for active sports like tennis, baseball, football, etc... but it will help you with your mental game regardless.

Perfect For Parents and Coaches
A must-read for coaches or anyone looking for information on how to increase physical and mental toughness systematically. While the book is getting old, the foundations are excellent, and the ties between mental, physical, and emotional toughness are explored and strategies discussed to drive improvement. The approaches discussed in the book, including the end of chapter exercises, are great for a coach to use as part of athletic programs at almost any age—a good read.

easy to read/understand format
Mid-book review:Written in very straightforward, easy to read/understand format. Feels like someone giving you a gentle slap in the face and a hug, all-in-one... exactly what you need if you've ever had a "woe-is-me" moment. Also offers helpful exercises/suggestions to try out. Looking forward to reading and working through the rest of the book.

Toughness training for the mind
I have purchased at least 20 copies of this outstanding book over the last15 years. I have given them to athletes I was training, and later toathletes I've met along life's path. This is a wonderful resource foranyone, actually, and not just athletes. What I found especiallyencompassing is the fact that author Loehr writes knowledgeably aboutour greatest competition: ourselves. He challenges us to take onour demons and obstacles for what they are -- hindrances to our personalsuccess. This is a great little book. I highly recommend it to coaches, parentsand athletes alike.
