Delightful book so children can learn about their teeth.
This is a great book so children can learn about their teeth. It is also a natural for children to learn about counting and to feel comfortable understanding numbers.

YOUR KIDS WILL BRUSH BECAUSE THE BOOK SAYS TO!
No matter how much you try to get your children (under 10) to brush...they will more likely take direction from the book more readily than from you! Entertaining read with everything your kids need to know about teeth!

Love it!
This is great reading material for our pediatric dental office! This is our doctor's favorite book. Simple to understand for the smaller kids, it can help to make the first trip to the dentist just a little easier.

Great book for young children
This book was just what I needed for my child when she got her first loose tooth. We read this multiple times and she enjoyed looking at the illustrations on why we have loose teeth and what happens when they fall out. She wasn't upset or scared with the whole concept. Now the only thing I did not like about the book was the manner in which the children were illustrated. They aren't very cute or interesting to look and some might be a bit scary. My child didn't mind, but I gave this book as a present to another child and she didn't want to even look at it because the children were "ugly". (I'm not saying that all children should be pretty or cute in stories, but I'm giving the overall initial impression by young readers). So if they children were illustrated a little "friendlier" I would have given it 5 stars. I think it will depend on the individual reader as to whether that will be too much of a distraction.

Humours, rhymming, informative
When my 5 year old lost his first tooth, he was asking all sorts of questions: WHY did I lose a tooth, WHEN will I lose more....Thi sbook answers those questions. It has a chart which looks inside the gums to show a new tooth pushing out the old. The book alternates between a story line and a poem. At the end it gets funny with a boy not being able to sing the rhyme like the others because he lost 2 teeth and he "thounds funny".I let my son's reactions rate books: this is a 5.

Great!
This was a wonderful factual book about teeth to explain the need to lose baby teeth to usher in the permanent grown-up teeth. For a cerebral kid like mine, this was a wonderful way to introduce the idea, as he was the first one among his friends to lose his teeth.

They are a great introduction to science for little children
We have most of the Level 1 books. They are a great introduction to science for little children. The only reason these don't get five stars is because a slightly bigger font size would have made these books excellent.
