Awesome pedal, great tone, sturdy enough build
Really gives you that extra oomph. Great product. Looks and feels pretty sturdy despite the plastic body. The knobs look a little flimsy but as long as you're careful, it shouldn't be an issue either. For this price, absolute killer product

Best pedal in the price range
Well it's a really sturdy pedal. It's a OD Pedal and for the price it's just too awesome. I does its job well. I'm not a rich guy but for I'm sure and I can't afford a Boss yet.. maybe sometime in future but for starting a pedal board it's just the right piece for the jigsaw. Demo in my youtube channel

Perfect for bedroom players and beyond
Other than the tricky battery compartment, the pedal is very compenent. Do not be put off by the plastic housing and the squishy switch. A great gateway into the classic TS circuit at a great price... The end buyer can only hope workers are not exploited to produce such a great product at a fair price. Buy it!

Must have for the blues
The media could not be loaded. This is a must have for any guitar player . Great for blues . (John Mayer, SRV to Steve vai Joe sat stuff too. ) you can get wide range of tones from this pedal. And it's great as a first pedal cause there's no noise and it's just enough distortion to cover up your bad playing ;) . I've compared it with the zoom g1xfour for your viewing pleasure .

Why Behringer has a bad name despite this?
Most international reviews by metal players bother me a lot who criticize Behringer for emulating other products. This is a no-nonsense product with the best starting option for any level guitarist. It provides tube emulation with just mild overdrive. If you keep all controls straight up at 12 O'Clock and play any guitar, you will hear no hum but just plain, clear and just crunchy sound. Turning drive towards maximum adds up some noise. Use a noise gate like Behringer NR300 and yes use thicker cables for all patches and guitar to get rid of noise. Please do not use this simultaneously with other heavy distortion/fuzz/overdrive pedals from other companies. If needed at all as a support, use my method. I play Megadeth with this coupled with Behringer HM300 (with all HM300 controls set to just 7 O'Clock except level). Buy this if you want to add some 'warmth' in your metal playing. For Pantera, Slayer like stuff, don't expect anything from it. But from Judas Prist to Iron Maiden to Megadeth to Metallica to Van Halen to Twisted Sister, just go for it and enjoy as I mentioned. Stay away from nonsense reviews from over expecting guys who play unnecessarily loud with very big distortion pedals. They use Boss NS-2 in the end anyway to control noise. Use this with medium settings and enjoy!

An option for beginners who wants a great effect in an affordable price
An option for beginners who wants a great effect in an affordable price.Pros:- 1) You will get all of them that is mentioned in the description. Like smooth sustain etc.2) Low price.3) Great sound effect when using it in red channel aka distortion.Cons:- 1) Made of hard plastic. Not saying that this is not durable..I have nothing to tell you more. Try it your own.My gears:- Jackson js11Hertz hg20
