Easily removes caked on rosin, whether it's fresh or it has been on a while. Of course a bit of elbow grease and repeating the cleaning steps is needed, as with cleaning ANYTHING. Great microfiber cloths that makes it easier. I will be recommending and purchasing again.

I was especially pleased with the cleaning solution, but happy with the glossy finisher after you clean your instrument, too (it comes as a set/ care kit). My violin truly looks nicer after using this product. It had been a loooooong time since I "officially" cleaned my violin, and so was glad to buy something that actually works well but won't cause damage to a fragile instrument. I think this is the same product a fellow orchestra kid let me use ages ago, and it's still impressive. I'd recommend this product set for cleaning and shining your stringed instrument like a violin or viola, and to bring out the lovely grain of your finish.

I bought this to clean up a violin I bought for my Dad. Expensive violin but not taken care of very well by the previous owner. Let me tell you this stuff brought this wonderful sounding instrument back to life visually.

I have invested into a violin I love and decided I should have stuff to take care of it. After looking around I found that this is a nice package of items. If you look around you'll see two things, one, that if each item is bought separately you will spend more money then this package costs and two, that the the sizes of each item are bigger when bought separately. I asked myself... " how much do I need for that once a year touch up? After using the products once, you use such a small amount, that I can't imagine ever needing to repurchase.

I knew my violin needed cleaning, but I actually did not realize how much. This product way exceeded my expectations.

Cleans off the stains I had trouble cleaning. The oil made it shiny too.

Good product. Gets the job done. First get the grease buildup off. Then shine the surface.

Instructions are very confusing. It just says to "wipe on the surface of the instrument". However, there's a big difference between the fingerboard vs the soundboard vs the strings. Some cleaners are fine for the fingerboard but destroy the varnish on the soundboard and vis versa. Is this safe to wipe on all parts or just the varnish?
