5-Star - Huge Improvement Over the Nylon Bags I Was Using
This hop spider is awesome so far. I used it twice the day after I got it. If you are still using the nylon bags I would recommend this as and upgrade. It is way easier to use, add hops to and clean. This worked great allowing the hops pellets to float around and stay in contact with the boiling wort. I only used 2-3 oz of pellet hops but this could hold MUCH more than that. This was very easy to clean after the brew day, I rinsed in off in hot water but not everything came off. I let in soak for about 5-10 minutes in my PBW solution and everything came off and clean very easy. The welds are very smooth and clean. The 2 support brackets are very sturdy and do not get too hot during the boil.NOTE:There are a few sharp wires inside where the seam is in the wire so be careful.

Good mead filter
Used to get big particulate out of batches of mead prior to clarifying. Worked for the job and cleaned up well afterwards

Perfect accessory
We use this to render our harvest fruits and vegetables to make cider, juices and stocks. It isn’t the easiest to clean but no strainer is! Great quality!

Clear beer
Works perfectly. Clear beer. Less hop debri. Fits nicely in my 16 gallon kettle.

Easy to Use, Easy to Clean
I brew a lot of hoppy APAs/IPAs and have struggled with trying to manage "hop trub" in the boil kettle. I've tried SS balls and hop socks (and forgotten to fish them out at the end of the boil) but was never really happy with them. I've done 2 10 gallon brews with with the Hop Spider now and I'm quite pleased with it. I don't have to fish "stuff" out of the boil kettle at flameout anymore and cleaning the Hop Spider is much easier than cleaning hop socks. I just ordered some leaf hops because I've got enough capacity in the Hop Spider to use leaf hops. The only downside of the Hop Spider is that it really only works well with full kettle batches. If I were to run a 5 gallon batch in my big 15 gallon kettle, the Hop Spider would not work.

Helps decrease the trub in the mash
Just what I was looking for to keep the hops in place. Easy to stir inside the cylinder to mix the wort through the pellets. A little difficult to clean, but not too bad.

Must have for NEIPA
I have a 16 gallon brew pot that I use for 10 gallon batches. I put 10 ounces of hops in it and some sweet orange peels, worked like a charm. Didn’t overflow because the top is near the top of the pot. Could also work on smaller batches because of how deep it is. This is a must have for large hop additions! Two anchor points at the top also makes a huge difference. The ones that only have one slide all around and can tip sending your hops back into the wort during boil. The screen is perfect for not allowing any hops through. It will clog slightly and will hold wort when transferring to you fermentor. I just lightly scrapped the inside with a stainless steel spoon and it flowed out. I have been brewing for years and would highly recommend.

Wow! Great quality!
I was pleasantly surprised when I received this item. I have seen a number of hop spiders in the past, but this item by far is the best quality I've seen. The welds are strong and the stainless steel frame is nice and thick. The mesh is high quality and doesn't have any irregular edges or folds where hops can get stuck. It fits great on my brew kettle as well. I would definitely recommend spending the few extra bucks on this item rather than going for a cheaper option. I can't wait to do my first brew with this!
