No, they are very hard and no cushion. I was very disappointed but it would cost more to ship them back

These are not for someone looking for a cushion for flat feet ! The heel is slightly raised (which I didn't want).I wanted a cushion that was evenly the same thickness from heel to toes.

These inserts are made from a very firm, rubbery material with a molded in heel cup and arch. They are angled heel to toe to correct for pronation. The inserts seem extremely durable and well made. The firm rubber actually provides better cushioning than foam or gel padding which tends to compress completely and thus provide no cushioning at all. My only complaint is that I need more arch and metatarsal support than these insoles provide. But for pronation I have found nothing better than these insoles.The reason is that I was recently diagnosed with a neuroma in my right foot after wearing expensive orthotic inserts custom made by a podiatrist to control pronation. The custom inserts did not angle the forefoot as do these inserts so I had him make new ones with a metatarsal bar which were horribly uncomfortable.I then tried these insoles with a pedag holiday 3/4 length semi rigid orthotic with heel pad, arch and metatarsal pad. That combination, along with a bit of extra padding to push up the metatarsal pad did the trick. The pain diminished and I can stand and walk pain free after a few weeks use. I also use the pedag viva mini inserts. Both combinations are very comfortable.I did follow my podiatrist's recommendation and bought good quality running shoes that are firm and solid around the heel for better positioning of the foot on the insoles. Nikes and New Balance seem to fit me the best, YMMV. I learned to avoid shoes that have flexible material around the heel - it has to be firm or your foot slides around too much. Hiking shoes also provide a lot of support but regardless you must make sure the shoe has a removable insole that can be replaced with these insoles or they will not fit.Excellent product I now own five sets.

I rated these insoles with a 4 because they didn't work for me. The arch support was too high. Additionally, the underlying structure leans the weight of your body towards the outer edge of your foot (their mechanism for correcting pronation). This might work in a truly flat shoe, but when you put them in walking or running shoes which already attempt to control pronation, they overcorrect. This results in strain in your outer ankle and tendons. They made my ankles feel like they were going to buckle sideways. I will also point out about one more thing-the last is narrow and might not fit wide feet.

I see what the insert is trying to accomplish by decreasing the pronation; However, my flat feet are so severe that this product only causes pain when worn for a long period of time or when working out. I've worn the inserts for about 3 weeks but will continue to wear them in hopes that the pain will lessen.

They are a bit uncomfortable at first but that's because they are forcing your feet, your legs, and even your knees to do things correctly. Once you get use to them in a day or so you'll never want to go without them. I really need to order 2-3 more pair so im not constantly swapping.Ive got very flat feet, bad knees, pronation, and a bad back and these have helped tremendously!

Excellent insoles with proper support for my flat feet and a nice cushion-y feel - no hard edges/heel or rigid arch. Been wearing them for several months and they're holding up well.

these are the BEST! Great for flat feet. You will be very satisfied. I have two pair.
