Please could you tell me which caffeine containing Rounton coffee beans taste most like the sparkling water decaf beans for my morning wake up cup?

Sorry not sure ...only bought the decaf variety.

How soon prior to dispatch do you roast the beans? Thanks

We are roasting 5 days a week and we are roasting our decaf on a daily basis. We aim to send out coffee that is no more than 1 day old, but on occasion it may have been rested for a maximum of 3 days. I hope that helps.

Hi Adam. Long answer coming up! Mycotoxins is a natural contaminant found in all foods not just coffee. For us and for most other roasters, the way to control this is to select the best beans, that have been processed at the farm well, stored correctly and roasted well. The roasting process itself removes between 60% and 95% of all mycotoxins anyhow. The other way is at the farm where the washed process actually helps to remove this. Your query on whether the high altitude grown coffee can help is loosely correct, perhaps the phrase specialty coffee may be more suitable. This is coffee that has been cared for and assessed to be of a high standard, and the moisture content (which is a key factor in Mycotoxins) is controlled much better. Our coffee is indeed high altitude grown and specialty grade too. It is cared for at origin, in addition, this coffee is a washed coffee, so this will also help. After all of these stages, the levels of mycotoxins will be about as low as you can expect, but we have no way of measuring this. I would ask any roaster who is claiming their coffee has zero mycotoxins to produce a Certificate of Analysis back this claim up. Organic coffees do not allow for the use of pesticides, so whilst some of our coffees are indeed organic, this is not one of them. Anyhow, I hope this helps a little? Best Regards Dave
