Nice replacement hotshoe cover
If you want a real bubble level, you can't beat a two-axis model (just search for "two axis hotshoe bubble level"), but if you want a hotshoe cover that has a modicum of functionality and isn't just a black plastic chip this is a good bet.Pros:It fits snugly in my Df.It's very low profile, not much worse than a typical hotshoe cover. It is functional as a makeshift level.Cons:Not nearly as accurate as a two-axis model (but these both look silly in day-to-day use and take up a lot of space). It's a bit hard to insert/remove. It's a soft rubbery plastic which gives it great grip, but you need to wiggle it in and out.If you're usually a natural light shooter this is great. If you need to use the hotshoe frequently for any reason it may take a little practice to install/remove quickly and easily.

Works fine
I just got a new tripod & ball head and thought I needed a level on the camera. This works fine, but after trying it I will end up getting the big green cube hotshoe mount type because when the camera is on the tripod and the view finder is at eye level I can't stand tall enough to look down onto this level. The cube type is visible even if you're below eye level with the view finder (like if you're using live view with the camera raised high to get over an audience's heads). If I lost this and had a use for one, this unit seems fine. But, as I'm learning what actually works when taking pictures, this doesn't provide me the functionality I need.

Works great on my Fuji X100
got this little sucker for my Fuji X100. I didn't need the bubble to be honest, I just wanted a cover for the hotshoe. The plain black covers looked a little boring, so I went with this unit. What I liked about it, and it's not mentioned in the description is the material. Looking at the photo it looks like all plastic, but it's not. The part that actually slides into the hotshoe is a very thick rubber material, and it's just the right thickness so if fits nice and TIGHT so it will never slide out.

Useful accessory
I bought this primarily as a hot shoe protector but have found that it is very useful when I have my camera mounted on my monopod. It simply slides onto the hot shoe and seems to give me a reliable reading of the camera's orientation. Be aware that on my Canon T3i DSLR the built in flash will not pop up when the level is on the hot shoe since the camera seems to read it as an external flash. Although I am sure this is not as useful as a dedicated level accessory, I can recommend it as a good bargain for a useful accessory.

Perfect for me.
When I got my Panasonic camera it didn't have a shoe cover or some how how I lost it opening things up(all the excitement of a new toy!!). For the money spent you could not get a much better product, also it made of rubber vs plastic. Which means it can by modified if you need to depending on your camera(I like that). Don't use the level all that often, have one in my camera and on the tripod too.Over all a great product and I recommend it to everybody who needs a shoe cover.

I have a few of these
These are inexpensive and function well as a replacement for the plastic protector I seem to loose the first week after I buy a new camera but I am not at all sure it is reliable for leveling the camera when compared to placing a regular level on the camera. I actually like the fact that it is rubberized and the highest point on the camera providing a tiny bit more protection to my expensive cameras when in transit.

Terrible, wont stay in place
The cover is made of a very soft rubber NOT plastic as it appears in the picture. Every time I put this in the hotshoe, I find it on the floor within 5 minutes. You can peel it back to remove it, you dont even need to slide it out. The level itself is not attached to the rubber so it falls out as well. This product is absolutely useless and it will be a double waste of money. First the money you paid for it, and second when you lose it almost immediately. Save your $ and buy something solid.

Small But Necessary
The bubble level is a nice plus on this hot shoe protector. If you ever intend to make use of the automatic features available through the accessory shoe, protecting the contacts with this nifty little device is a good idea. Slides on and off easily, but snug enough to stay put and not fall off.

One use only
I have only had this a few days and have nearly lost it lots of times already as it seems to fall out of the hot shoe with the slightest touch.Maybe it would be better with a solid plastic groove to fit to the camera. The only use for me is to protect the hot shoe in wet weather when no flash is attached. It is only a few weeks since I wrote this review and today I have lost this gizmo as it has fallen off my camera somewhere in the park where i was photographing my daughter....useless,cheap and nasty it of crap.and now only a few weeks after...it has fallen out and is lost!!!!!!!

GOOD FIT!
Bought to cap off my 600D hot shoe to just make it look smarter. It does that well. Reading some other reports they claim it slides off..... I really don't see how other then not pushing it on the sliders correctly. This fits really well, makes the camera look smarter as covers the hot shoe, well contrasted with same colour and nicely visible, streamlined and not bulky. If anyone is considering getting one for there hot shoe I would recommend as it looks great. It does not slide off and I very much doubt it will. Like I said, very stylish, covers the hot shoe well and the bubble works lol. Well worth it.

Plumb Chum !
Great wee device. Fits perfectly onto the camera shoe of my Panasonic FZ72, and Nikon D7100. Its rubber so it takes the knocks and protects the top of my camera. For hand holding shots its brilliant - where before I just judged the horizon, and straightened in Photoshop later, I now find that my shots are near enough level when process them on the PC.As my ball head and tripod don't have a bubble on either in the horizontal plane - this solves the problem too.Perfectly lined up shots every time - I recommend this product.

Good product - limited use
I bought this because I prefer the streamlined appearance to the bulky square ones and because I could leave it in place on the camera. As soon as it arrived I realised I hadn't thought it through properly. The problem is that as it's a round single bubble level, in practice it is only of any use if you want to level the camera in both axis in landscape orientation... not often something I need to do.There's nothing wrong with the product itself, it works as it should and arrived promptly but just be aware of it's limitations compared to the 2 or 3 bubble types.

Not fit for purpose product and poor customer service.
The purchased Hot Shoe Cover with Bubble Spirit Level only pushed half way onto the hot shoe then jammed and was obviously not an accurate fit for the Canon 7D that it was advertised for. When I asked for permission to return I was told to pay the return postage and there was no mention of a refund that would include the initial postage charge. To summarize, a crap product from a supplier who offers crap customer service. Do not buy from this supplier!!!
