🏠 Reach New Heights Safely!
The RoofZone Ladder Hook with Wheel (Model Number 65005) is designed for quick and safe access to steep roofs. It easily attaches to the top two rungs of any ladder, allowing users to roll the ladder past the roof peak and secure it on the opposite side. The rubber grip T-bar ensures that your roofing materials remain undamaged while you work.

steady as it goes
With a roof as steep as mine (think 12/12 and Swiss A-frame-esque), I'm asking a lot of this curvy but sturdy peice of metal. It has lived up to its promise, as I was able to get to the ridge on my mountain home, where I had to secure an anchor. Previously, I made a ladder-like contraption with wheels on it, but that got away from me during the installation phase, and it went crashing 25+ feet below. Lesson learned. By this device and save face. Don't get me wrong, it is still scary atop my steep roof, high above a sloped terrain, but this hook holds my ladder well and gives me a chance to look brave. I especially like the pads to lessen the wear on the shingles.

Good but not perfect.
The write up on the ladder hook said only one hood was necessary. I used two of these attached to climb a steep metal clad roof. My roof has vertical ridges along the joints and a raised ridge cap for ventilation. The small wheels, on the hook back, managed to roll up the roof and over the ridge cap with no problems. Flipping the ladder and hooks over was also relatively easy. Most importantly, the ladder hooks held securely while climbing up, working on, and climbing down the roof.My only complaint was that there was not sufficient adjustment in the slot that attaches to the ladder. I had to use a shim on the ladder rung in order to attach the hook tightly. Fortunately, once I stepped on the ladder the whole thing tightened up.

Works great.
The hook is great, however, I was using it on an extension ladder and felt that the radius of the hook was not big enough to hold on to pitch without damaging the shingles. I ended up using a longer straight ladder.

Decent
Product is sturdy and works but does not tighten down on rungs of ladder. When taking the ladder off down the roof the ladder hook unattached.

Great product. easy to use. one hook works great. two hooks on one ladder is a bit top heavy to move around, I found one hook to be totally stable to work off of. great for installing metal roofing on a steep pitch. with two hooks its easy to split your extension ladder into two roof ladders and easily work both sides of a pitched roof. these hooks are easy to install, im not a huge fan of the wingnuts but they work otherwise 5 stars.

Good price and sturdy.
Had to cap my chimney and needed to climb a steep slate roof. This device worked well and seemed well built and solid...the price was good, also

Functions well on a high pitch roof. I feel quite safe.
Functions well on a high pitch roof. I feel quite safe. You'll only need one per ladder, but you'll need to tie it in thoroughly. The padded rubber tips got chewed up pretty quickly.

I had no issues using it and it should last fine for occasional use at my house
Part was solidly built - it fit correctly on to the top of my ladder and the rubber pads on the grip portion protected my metal roof. I got it to work on my own roof, so one hook had enough weight capacity to support just me - and keep me from sliding down the roof. I had no issues using it and it should last fine for occasional use at my house. If I was a professional I might use a pair to get more weight capacity.
