I had to translate the instructions as they are written in German, with no other language translations, and it looks like they were written for an original light fitting rather than a replacement light fitting, as there is no mention of disconnecting the power and removing an existing fitting before marking and drilling the fixing holes. So, if you're thinking of buying this light, here are the translated instructions you will need, with addition notes marked by a triple Asterix (***):1. Unscrew the lampshade by turning counter clockwise.2. ***If replacing an existing light fitting, disconnect to power before removing the light fitting***. Use the chassis on the new fitting to determine the hole positions in the ceiling. ***Use the 3 holes in the OUTER ring, not the 3 smaller holes in the LED ring***. At the exact positions, drill 3 holes and knock the expansion dowels (better known in the UK as Rawl Plugs) into the hole.3. Push the power cables through the cable hole, and fasten the chassis to the ceiling with screws.4. Connect the power cord to the input of the light (see illustration): ***At this point there is a diagram of the wiring connections***Connection to Drivers (Centre of chassis)Connection to Live (Top)Connection to Earth (Middle)Connection to Neutral (Bottom)5. Align the slot of the lampshade with the bracket and turn the lampshade clockwise until it is firmly attached to the chassis.It's straightforward enough really, but I'd recommend removing the short power cord that is already attached and wiring the connections directly if your cabling is long enough (I suspect it's only there to show you where the connection go anyway). You can connect it to your internal wiring safely enough with connecting blocks and insulating tape, but a straight connection is always better.As for the light itself, it's all been said in other reviews and the description, it's a lovely mood light. I gave it 4 stars because the instructions had to be translated manually, otherwise the light would be 5 stars!

It’s not like it is shown in the images, so it loses a star for false advertising. The star effect comes from many equally sized tiny “holes” in the white plastic diffuser. They are not really holes, but must be either thinner bits or somehow clear bits of the white plastic. Anyway, they look like pin sized holes and you can see the LEDs through them, but since each LED is being viewed at a different angle, it gives a twinkling effect, especially if you’re not keeping still when looking at it. It’s also not yellow at all, but it goes give a nice warm light. Would be a bit nicer if the diffuser was rounded at the edges to give a true dome look instead of a cake tin.

Bought these to replace two pendant lights. Now they were truly beautiful, but awful to replace bulbs. Now these are very bright, and so easy to install ( better using fixing bar supplied than direct screwing as this allows you to align better ) I fitted them both in 50 minutes including a coffee ! to my high ceilinged hallway I think they are great, delivered from Germany 3 days before expected Will give them 5 stars and will update performance in 3 months. a truly great buy. By the way my hall is 10 metres by 3 metres so i imagine a 50 watt lamp will suffice easily

The light is a nice item with a sparkly appearance as you look at it. The light put out is uniform - no stars or sparkles on the floor! Thankfully I tried this before screwing to ceiling. In a room where we needed to see clothes the light was just a little too dim. Suit maybe a toilet or cloakroom.The 50W sister model will be too bright for a 9 foot square room.So will be looking for something in the 25-30W range.

Stunning lights. Every inch of brightness that we had hoped for. Beautiful looking and we have two up in a fairly large room and you literally can't cast a shadow in there which is wonderful for my mum and her declining sight. Would maybe recommend having a lamp or wall lights for when you don't want complete daylight that these provide but they do what they say and look more subtle and attractive than I had anticipated.

As part of a bathroom revamp at home we wanted a light with bright white light and took a chance with this one. It replaced an ancient compact fluorescent fitting. What a dream to fit. The shade just twists off, the wires feed in from behind and connect to the supplied connector, after switching off the power of course. It was screwed to the ceiling with the screws provided. The whole thing took less than ten minutes.

This light arrived in a super secure and compact package, easy to install and looked wonderful in the Liverpool, especially in the night. The quality is very fair for the the price paid. Happy with it.

Stunning light, beautiful effect. Bright white it very bright, it has been a talking point between my friends and neighbour's. Loved by all.
