Musarri Muffler For Rebel 500
Musarri Slip On Muffler Review…….I ordered the Musarri Slip On over the weekend from Misano-moto through Amazon. I did not pay for expedited service. On Monday I received an email stating that my muffler was shipped. On Tuesday I received an email from DHL that my package was at the front door…..Record service, obviously not shipped VIA the USPS.The Musarri Muffler was professionally packaged. Wrapped in bubble wrap, and sealed in a sturdy corrugated carton. After removal from the carton it is obvious that this is a high quality product.Removing the Honda factory muffler only requires loosening the clamp and removing the hanger bolt and slipping the muffler from the header pipe. The Honda factory muffler gasket can be carefully pried off.Installing the Musarri Muffler is very easy. Make sure you slide the clamp over the header pipe before sliding the muffler into position. Slide the replacement muffler gasket part way down the beginning of the header pipe, don’t slide it the whole way against the stop built into the factory header pipe. Carefully align the Musarri Muffler with the header pipe, slide the muffler over the new gasket trying not to slip the gasket any closer than 6mm (1/4”) to the built in stop on the header. When the tab on the muffler is in alignment with the muffler hanger insert the hanger bolt and snug it up, position the clamp and snug the bolt. Torque the hanger bolt as to Honda specifications, or just make it good and tight. Torque the clamp bolt, or as I did make it good and tight.I left the baffle in my muffler as I am not trying to annoy the neighbors or destroy my hearing.I started the engine and took my Rebel 500 for a ride, before I shifted out of first gear I knew I was going to like the sound. The Rebel now sounds like a motorcycle. As I shifted through the gears, while warming up the engine, the Musarri Muffler had a nice deep growl to it. I rode several miles and noticed a pleasant sounding rumble as I decelerated, but no sign of after firing or backfiring. When I returned home I double checked the hanger bolt and clamp bolt to make sure they were tight….I am very pleased with my purchase.

Best exhaust for the 300s
Great sound and tone to it. I previously had the TBR on my 300 and it was way too loud since my particular one was welded on its internals instead of bolted so my TBR dB killer I also bought afterwards was useless without cutting. The Musarri with the DB killer is perfect in my opinion! Not so loud it hurts but still loud enough to be heard and sounds good. Honestly I’d probably say it is the best option for us 300 guys for the price, quality, and sound! (Removable DB killer as well for those who can handle the roaring)Install is easy as long as you take your time. The gasket will make it difficult to readjust if you just shove the exhaust on without lining it up first, the hanger on the muffler will be on the inner side of the bolting location! (Pictures for reference)*side note* if you don’t want to use the chrome clamp that is included, you can always take off the stock muffler clamp and reuse it for an all black look like I did!

Easy to install, sounds good, looks fantastic
Gives the bike an overall lower tone, more of a growl. I left the baffle in because I wasn't going for louder, just better looking, which this accomplishes very well. See before and after photos for reference. It is just a tad louder overall, but a nicer sound for sure. Install was fast and easy.

Quality unit
I have the rebel 300 which is a big difference from the 500 as far as exhausts go. When you swap out the muffler on the 300 you are also removing the Catalytic, not so on the 500. So in a way your doing a full exhaust. By leaving the stock header you get the O2 sensor bung in the right spot and the stock header isn't that bad anyway. Sorry I digress, just thought you should know.Fit was very good. The new gasket was very tight so I sanded a little around the header to get rust particles off and it went right on snug. Like Kenny G says don't push the gasket all the way to the header collar, leave about 1/4 inch and then push in as you line up. You don't want to have to pull the gasket back, its tight. Then line it up with the mounting hole where stock one was and bam, nice. I think the clamp is very nice also. Wish it was black, but its quality, no stars reduction.Sound is very nice, a bit loud but I like it and isn't that why most of look for an after market exhaust anyway. Baffle comes out easy, but holy @@@@ its real loud on the 300, again because of no cat I bet its louder than the 500. Sounds like a CRF 450 with that single cylinder.Performance is always a question, seems a little better on take off and I still get to mid 80s MPH on the highway pretty quick. You will definitely look and sound better in all gears. I have an install vid on my youtube channel. "Rich MSX 125" with some full throttle riding sound check.

Better and louder sound. Easy install.
This thing made my Honda Rebel 300 sound louder and better in my opinion. Looks great on the bike too. Only negative it’s pointed at a upward angle, so no saddle bags... I melted the bottom one one of mine. Had to remove the saddle bags. Still if you don’t have saddle bags I highly recommend. I plan on getting a rear travel rack instead.

I got a bad one
Box arrived torn, clamp was bent. Pretty sure I got a return one. Ordered a new clamp... we’ll see.EDIT: turns out the muffler’s Pipe is now too small to even fit over the gasket. This was a waste of money

Very happy with this exhaust! 😃
Sounds good, loud but not too loud. Looks good, feels high quality and the little 300 runs so much better! If I have any complaint it is short and may interfere with saddle bags.
