Mamra almonds grow in iran, afghanistan and middle east. They account for only about 3-4% of almond production in the world. Themamra are rarer still, are tastier and have higher nutritional content compared to other almonds such as california almonds which may be pasteurized (subjected to high heat) which may reduce the healthy oil content from the almonds.

Not 100% genuine. Mamra almonds are mixed with Californian variety. Mamra is actually less than 50% in the packet and the rest is Californian almonds. In a handful of nuts picked from the packet, you can see the assorted almonds in the attached picture for yourself. Such fake and inauthentic products should be discouraged by Amazon.
