Chicken/Duck Nipples
Our Barred Rock and Golden Comet pullets love these. To add to that, even the Muscovy Ducklings drink from them. This is a huge deal since ducks are the main culprit to dirty water in a coop.Added 5/24/16:We still have the same chicken nipples in use a year later. I figured this deserved a review update since these things are working so well. I attached four nipples to the bottom of a 5 gallon bucket and hung it in the coop. I put the lid on the bucket so nothing is getting into the water. Filling the water every 4 to 5 days with around 20 chickens sure is nice. The water stays crisp and clean.Everything in the coop drinks from these. Like I said about even the ducks. We've brought more chickens and ducks into the coop that have never drank from the nipples in the past. After they see the others drinking from these they figure it out and we don't have any issues with the new birds going thirsty. We did have some problems during the winter. Thankfully it only got down to freezing a few times. The nipples did freeze up. I simply just switched over to a pot of water that they could reach. I was giving them fresh water a few times a day every day until it warmed up. Then we were back to business. I've heard of people putting warmers in their water so the nipples don't freeze. There is no need in us doing that here since we only reach freezing temperatures a few times through the winter. It's easy enough for me to switch over to a pot. For someone in a colder climate I would recommend having enclosed coop or warmer. We had some babies hatch out. They were having a hard time reaching the five gallon bucket hanging that the bigger birds could reach just fine. I put up a smaller container of water for them to reach. So even the chicks and baby ducks will drink from these. Again, I'm sure it helps they see the others drinking from them.I had one of these nipples seized up and not allow water to come out. I just pressed on the bottom and got the metal moving back and forth again and water started dripping. It works just like it was brand new. So I guess something got in the mechanism of the nipple and was preventing it from moving up and down.I got a quantity of 25 when I ordered these. I've only used six of them. I have a lot as backup. I figured I would need to replace them before now. I'm pretty glad to see they have lasted a year already. I've already got my money out of them and am still using them. I recommend them to anyone that has chickens. I recommend them to people I know all the time.

My chickens learn how to use these fast...even young chicks! Great value
This is a great deal for your money. If you go to the local feed store you'll pay around $2-$3 each! This just makes so much more sense.Granted, these are a bit on the cheap side quality wise, at least they looked like they were when I first opened the double bagged parcel. But these have worked well for over a month now. I'm sure they will continue working for much longer. I would absolutely but these again.PS. It's easy for your chickens to transition to these, so don't worry. I just put a few nipples in the bottom of a 5 gallon bucket of water, and within minutes my birds start checking out the new toy. I've seen them start drinking from them within 10 minutes! I don't think my birds are especially intelligent, but it's always been easy for me, and I have way more chickens than a person should. :)Oh! Pop a nipple into a soda bottle cap (don't forget the water tight silicone), screw on to a soda bottle full of water, place upside down in a small ring-type plant stand, and you've got a fast and simple backup waterer.

Great poultry water drinking nipples. I use them for Coturnix quails, even day old chicks - Perfect.
The media could not be loaded. I've bought and used these poultry water nipples previously, and needed more for my growing Coturnix quails. They are small enough that even the tiny day olds use them. They don't leak, and when used in conjunction with drip cups, that are designed with these nipples...No water mess in the cages, or bedding.Great price, and quality.I've included a short video showing my week old Quail chicks drinking from the water nipples. Initially, I also had a round water bottle, until every one of the chicks got used to the nipple drinkers. Actually, I've found that they prefer to drink from the nipples.the ones in the picture, are my previous older ones, that I had glued since they o-ring that came with them went bad, after many years of use. These come with new -o-rings. I will add new pics, showing the new nipples wth the additional water drip cups, that I just bought that work in conjunction with these nipples.Good product, and effective. Good, clean constant water, for the health and vitality of the birds - if it works for small quails, it will work for any chickens. I've used these same nipples on chickens previously. The pictures with the chicks isn't mine - but, it shows how how these drip cups work with these water drinking nipples. I didn't find too many pictures of the two of them used together - thought that some of you guys would like to see it. I bought the drip cups here at amazon as well, it's in one of my other reviews. The ones that I ordered, are meant to fit around a 3/4" PVC pipe. It has a snap clasp that you tighten with pliers. Once on, it's on.No more water drip mess, like I was having prior to receiving these drip cups - I've saved so much time, bedding, and additional time cleaning up, cost, mess. If you have any poultry, and water drip mess is an issue, buy these, and install them - your water mess problems will be solved.Hope that this helps.
